Findlay-Bowling Green-Madison TriWay -
09-11-2010, 08:46 AM
Findlay, Bowling Green, and Madison meet today in their annual Tri-way. All of the teams are undefeated.
Findlay has not had any real competition up to now, so it will be interesting to see how they perform today. 5 sophomores, 1 junior, and 2 seniors form the core rotations. The talent is there, but will they play consistent enough to pull out victories?
Sounds like BG has been stepping up with their league play and can use this weekend to build confidence and momentum for the rest of the season.
Madison always brings a solid game and the talent to knock off D1 teams.
Looking forward to the matches. Results will be posted later.

What happened to Madison?
Was all there players there? Sick? Hurt?
Seems like a ugly score...
Findlay must be the real deal!

I expected BG to put on a better performance at this tourney. They definitely now know what it's going to take to prepare for the postseason. Unfortunately their NLL schedule isn't presenting this sort of competition.
Gotta agree with Ottawa that Findlay is setting the stage for a nice run in the rest of the season and will give the Toledo and Cleveland area teams a formidable opponent in the Northwest Region.

Findlay played pretty solid all day. Nice to finally see them play some decent competition. BG struggled with passing, out of system most of match and Madison really only set one kid. She was a stud but not enough weapons.
PREP VOLLEYBALL: Findlay smokes Madison, BG
The Findlay High School volleyball team continued to tear up its opponents Saturday as the Trojans smoked Bowling Green 25-9, 25-17 and Mansfield Madison 25-14, 25-14 and remained undefeated on the season.
Mansfield Madison defeated Bowling Green in the other match.
Kayce Krucki had a huge game for Findlay (6-0) as she was 25 of 26 serving with eight aces, 36 of 36 hitting with 15 kills and she added six kills and two blocks between the two matches.
Allison Twining was also a force at the net with 13 kills and three blocks. She also contributed 12 digs defensively.
Emma Schleucher had four blocks and seven digs for the Trojans, while Emily Lauth was 69 of 69 setting with 38 assists and 11 digs.

I agree with vbjeff66; Madison always relies on 1 or 2 players, not the entire team. Has done this for years. Time to use your other weapons.
Madison has always prided itself of a great volleyball program, hope this isn't the beginning to the end.....
Glad to hear that Findlay finally got some competition, it always help build team spirit as well as confidence.
Good luck to all..........

Heard madison also had trouble passing against findlay,it all starts with the pass couldn't get good sets to the hittersbecause of the passes. Heard findlay looked like a solid team. I've watched madison once this year they have 2 really good hitters, I think madison will be ok.

They did struggle with passing as well but they continued (in system and out) to force the ball to Galbraith (she can rip it). Thought their setters did a pretty good job setting hittable balls but maybe made some bad choices by forcing it to her, unless that's what they were directed to do. Seemed to have other solid kids that could do some damage but never gave them much of a chance. They will be OK for sure but they need to spread the wealth. I hope I got her name right. If not, I apologize.

Congrats to Findlay on a very good performance over two solid vb programs. I think that a publication predicted before the season began that Findlay would be the sleeper in NW Ohio. I guess that Coach Moran must have woke them up!

I was surprised at the scores this weekend. I thought BG would perform better than they did. If they want to go somewhere they must beat teams like these. and on this day, they were clearly unable to do it.

Congratulations to Findlay! They are simply performing now the way people who know these kids and this program know they are capable of. A great two wins for the team against two quality opponents. Keep up the tradition of excellence!
