Congrats to the Kenton Wildcats for winning the 7 on 7 tournament at Vanderbilt today. Awesome job. Over 30 teams, many VERY good! And fast! But we hung in and won it. During awards ceremony Maty Mauk (QB) and Max Morrison (WR) received trophies for their outstanding performance - so kudos to them, as well as the entire team. As one of the Vanderbilt coaches said (yelled) today during the Championship game....."Now these boys are playing some football here!"

Next stop - Alabama!

Walking Boss I'm with you, go Ohio guys!! NOW if we could only get someone, anyone to cover (media) some of the 7's here in Ohio!! That was great media coverage. Would love to be able to read online or in the newspaper some coverage of local contests. I'm sure I'm not alone?? Any writers out there reading this!?!?

dubeyes I agree. Why aren't these covered? These kids play their tails off and no one writes about it. You go to places like Notre Dame and Vanderbilt and Scout.com and Rivals writers are there all day long watching and taking notes and writing about performances. It's pathetic that the writers in Ohio don't follow these.

I have only been to one 7 on 7 and it was last week,it was ran like a scrimmage,not keepping score or referees.How do they run a real 7 on 7?
