Plymouth is a great story. The Tursons have done so much for basketball at this small community. I haven't heard much about it, but I'm pretty sure this will be Coach Brad Tursons last season at the school. Brooke has matured into not only a great player, but also a great leader. Their supporting cast is not great but seems to complement Brooke well and they just seem to have that magic. Having said all of that, it will be very difficult for them against LCC. According to people who have seen them, they are playing as well as anyone right now. They may also have someone who can slow Turson down one-on -one. Win of lose, Plymouth has had a magical season and has revived a struggling school district. Wouldn't it be great if they could just get one more and get to the final 4.

Yes that would be great. If they can be close in the fourth I think they have a shot. They will need to play great defense an play a near perfect game.

My head says LCC pretty big, but my heart says just maybe Plymouth can pull it off.

LCC beat Lima Senior 69-67. Last Saturday Lima Senior took out a good Mansfield Senior team that was 21-1. If they can handle the Spartans it does not look good for the Big Red. LCC by 12.

Well said Press Box. Turson is a good player but not sure if he is as good as Aaron Craft from Liberty-Benton and LCC handled Craft very well. Also, the level of competition that LCC sees on a regular basis is WAY above what Plymouth sees in the Firelands Conference-not even close. LCC wins.

I agree with everything you guys are saying, but you never know. Plymouth just seems to have something special going. That's why they play the game.

LCC plays a good schedule, no doubt, but it is by a stroke of luck recently. For years they were independent and became a member of the Northwest Conference about five years ago. Delphos Jefferson was pretty good this year and Van Wert Lincolnview won the state title a few years back, but the NWC has not been known as a hoops powerhouse for the most part. However, they play in the Lima Tip-off Classic to start the year and also play Delphos St. John, Elida, Lima Senior and a few other quality teams in their non-league schedule. Bob Seggerson has been there a LONG time and is a tremendous coach. I saw both LCC and Liberty Benton play late i the season and LCC seemed like a more physical, athletic team.

That being said, it's the regional final and Plymouth has earned their spot along with a big dose of respect. I'm with you on the Firelands Conference usually not being anything to write home about, but that means little to nothing at this point or this particular year. Norwalk St.Paul won the state football title and Monroeville won it all in wrestling, so the FC has nothing to apologize for.

I am personally convinced that LCC will win, but regardless of the outcome Plymouth has made it stand up all the way to being one step away from the Big Dance and deserves credit. They have beaten some darn fine teams.
