Liberty is definitely the favorite with 2 D1 arms and loaded around the diamond. After that there are a bunch of really good teams in no particular order, Pick Central, Pick North, Gahanna, Jerome, Coffman and Grove City.
At the D2 level the discussion usually starts and ends with Desales. They have lost a lot over the last 2 years so this may be the year someone else gets out of the district but they will still be a tough out with Parise or Gentile on the mound. Watterson will be solid also but the team to keep an eye on is Jonathan Alder, D1 signee catcher Mahan and solid returning nucleus joined by 2 Southwestern City School transfers in Maynard from GC and Miller from Central Crossing gives them a deep pitching staff.
Not as familiar with the D3 and D4 teams but Pleasant with Tyler Braun will be solid in D3 and Newark Catholic again will be the team to beat at the D4 level.
Can't wait to get out my winter coat and go watch some baseball.

In no specific order...
D1- Gahanna, Pick North, Liberty, Davidson, Jerome (OCC is GOOD)
D2- Canal Winchester, Licking Valley, Watterson, DeSales, Alder, (MSL/CCL leading the way)
D3- Heath, Hartley, Grandview(could be an alright year), Pleasant, Bloom-Carroll, Ready,
D4- Newark Catholic, Fisher Catholic, Worthington Christian... I don't even know names of any other d4 schools...

OSU86 - Starts and ends with Desales in D2... I am pretty sure Canal Winchester has advanced to State tournament last two years, but might be mistaken. I would say for the longest time that conversations started and ended with Lakewood. The division is very deep this year with no dominant teams. Canal Winchester returns the best player in Dosch, Desales, Lakewood, and Watterson are always strong. Johnathon Alder should be a tough out with move ins, Granville has 7 or 8 starters back, and Buckeye Valley and Olentangy Orange could be solid..

I agree Awkips lots of D2 balance this year - I think OSU86 might be also be "DeSales82" - spoken like a true Stallion! With Gentile now at UC, DeSales and Watterson will be even this year in the CCL, and the other teams you mention will be factors, especially JA. Watterson's seniors are small in number - 5, I think - but high quality. Bruening hit almost .600 last spring and Cattabiani was excellent as well. If the juniors there live up to their billing the Eagles will be strong.

I love Central Ohio high school baseball. It sounds like it is going to be a great year.
