Does anyone know about who got the wild cards? with only 56 qualifiers the number are way down from a few years ago when they were 80+

Define a few years?
Up until last year, it was 70 (7 per weight) and 2 others chosen by the Big Ten coaches. That adds up to 72. I don't know if it was 80+ ever. I may be wrong. But I remember 72 for a number of years since I have been supporting my Wresting Buckeyes.

Jump out off the couch? Wife and I jumped high enough to clear the roof and almost land in the world's biggest outhouse (Located next to arena located in A2) Palmer family was sitting 3 rows in front of us...and you can imagine what they were doing.

the allocations used to change from year to year in the late 80's to mid 90's and I believe the highest it ever was was 82. Then they formed the big 12 and the big ten got a few taken away to compensate the big 12. and it stayed at 72 for a long while

The wild cards are going to be announced on March 10.

On another note...I thought that it was pretty classless for Palmer and Sponseller to scream in the faces of Ruschell and Morningstar in the semis after the match was over. I understand that they were really excited about winning the big matches, but I dont think their actions were necessary. Just my thoughts on my observations at the tournament.

That was an amazing match. No doubt he'll repeat at nationals!!

a major at ncaa...sspphh have another beer mich man. no way. that was the biggest spread they've had and i don't think either will make the mistake of going to their back again and that's the only way a major is going to happen. it will be another close nail biter like the rest regardless of who wins. what a great match and training tool to show the young kids. way to go lance!!!!
