I had a similar GM service-related problem in 1987. Then after not fixing the problem for 7 different attempts, they tried to charge me a deductible when I was 43 miles over the 12000 mile mark. When I refused, some smart a$$ service manager told me what I could do with my complaints. I was picked up at the dealership, and taken back to the office, prepared a lawsuit against GM and the dealership, drove to the Courthouse, filed the lawsuit, had a judge deputize me as a process server, drove back to the dealership and personally served that very same service manager with the lawsuit. The look on his face was priceless.
Needless to say, I prevailed nicely. Since then, every new vehicle I bought has been a Toyota, until I recently bought a new Nissan.

The most selling cars in July were Nissan's, Honda's, Toyota's, and Ford's.
Where are Government Motors car sales?

Why would anyone ever buy a GM? They are junk cars made with overpaid union labor. Their biggest customer is the US government and that's probably their only customer.

I will NEVER buy a Government Motors vehicle. However, based on the tenets of obamacare, we will all probably have to pay a fine if we don't.
Change we can believe in ...

Lets see here:
GM gets government bailout money, can't pay back taxpayers. Waste of taxpayers money.
GM supports/advertises European-Cross Country Kickball. Wasted money.
GM will have to increase prices on their piece of junk, due to Obamacare cost. Obamacare does not cure a thing.
GM can't produce a product that the consumer will want.
Detroit is ran by a bunch of Liberals.
GM's stock price too low to buy. Government loses. Price is a $26-27 a share, Government bought at $53 a share, taxpayers lose.
Auto dealerships, forced to close, by Government.
Etc, etc, etc.
This is what happens when government gets in the way of markets.
Yes, I do blame Bush 43, for starting tarp 1, then Obama was dumb enough to sign Tarp 2.

Forgot to mention, socialism has failed when it is applied.
Did Obamas Economic teachers at Columbia teach this duffas anything about Economics, or just give him a grade for just being
Foreign exchange student.

A comment like that exemplifies your biased credibility. As far as I'm concerned, you white honkies in New Bremen ought to leave town once in a while and get exposed. We know your ancestors chased us out when the boat stopped in the canal, but we're coming back to reclaim our rightful place in your God-forsaken town.

If another bailout is needed, you know the government is going to do it. The main issue I had with the last bailout is that the UAW workers did not share in the pain and losses. Salaried workers retirement and healthcare were slashed. Bond holders lost everything. All while UAW workers continued to receive big retirement buyout checks and their full pensions and healthcare. Many of them are spending comfortable winters in Florida while the tax paying working class of the country are footing the bill.
