It is going to be a great week 11 Football nite cold & no rain. I can't wait to see how the Braves grind it out on TURF. If the O-line opens holes tonite like they have been Byers,Davis, and Fox could ALL have a big nite running wild. GO BRAVES! Keep it going into week 12
Have to give a lot of credit to Indian Valley for coming back like they did! I thought Jtown was on the verge of a blowout when they went up 24 to 7. Shut out the Johnnies in the 2nd half. Jtown will get better from this game!
Great game, great atmosphere. Both teams played hard. Credit to IV's coaches and players. Coaches made good in-game and halftime adjustments and going deep into the playbook. I noticed starting OT and DT Logan Ridgway limped to the locker room just before halftime, he was on the sidelines the 2nd half but didn't make it back into the game. He was replaced by #76 at OT and he did a good job filling in...Freshman Koby Kool? The defense played much better in the second half.
IV fans should be proud of the players and coaches.
Coach Lancaster and those seniors built a playoff caliber program, at Indian Valley! Seemed unfathomable when these seniors were in middle school! Back to back playoff appearances! Nobody before or after the consolidation had ever stepped foot into week 11 before these young men played the game. The foundation their work and success has built will help IV return to the playoffs for a 3rd straight year, where I guarantee they won't be announced as "Indian Valley South"
I hope the seniors have no regrets. They made tradition and school history. Those young men are Braves forever, and I hope they know they had all the IV elementary peewee punks living and dying with every play. The kids had that gleam in their eye, they were proud. They wanted to be Braves too. Check IV's record 7 years from now and you'll see what I mean. The best thing about tradition is that it doesn't graduate, congratulations on a hell of year!
Seriously IV went toe to toe with a contender. Monroe has a program, and all the trappings that most Ohio gridiron programs eventually get, the impressive band, an intimidating venue and gigantic following, near total student involvement. Those weren't just 11 Johnnies the Braves suited up against that was the entire Johnstown community, and they were just 1 play better. Respect.
All I have to say is Congrats to Coach Lancaster, his staff, and the kids. GREAT GAME! BE PROUD,WALK TALL, AND HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH! An other great season for the Braves, To the Seniors it has been fun watching you play enjoy and good luck in what ever you do, To the rest of the TEAM, Keep it going get in the weight room work on the little things and get ready for a 3 peat! GO BRAVES! PROUD OF YOU ALL!
