not many people have moved on and only Saban went to a big time power, although Tennessee fans may disagree.

An obvious reason (with the exception of Saban), is that they went to lesser 'football' schools. Saban, and now Meyer, went on to equal, or better 'football' schools. He will get it done. He likes making history.

Wish that had been a copy and paste as I hate giving that site hits.

Article left Lou Holtz out, at Notre Dame and then on to S. Carolina...but I guess they were focusing on the "modern" or BCS era...

Why are you leaving John McKay of USC off? It's hard to "up grade" from USC unless you go to the NFL... he returned to USC and wasn't able to replicate his earlier success....

There's no certainty that Meyer will be able to replicate his Florida success.

On that line of thought.... why was it that when RR was at UM, people outside of UM said the spread can't work in the B1G, and then even when recruits improved they said it can't/won't work against the best of the B1G, but now that Meyer is at OSU they're all of a sudden going to run over everyone in the conference and compete against the SEC for National Titles? We saw it with UM that you need a RB to carry much of the load... Meyer and Florida hasn't had a legit RB in MANY years and you're not going to find another Tebow in our lifetimes. I'm just really curious as to why you think "this" spread will be different?

That was probably more oversite than anything because they mentioned many coaches before the BCS was ever thought of... days when there were only like 4 bowl games... lol...

^You're right. I don't read ESPN articles too closely...
