No Accountability. Who signs his paycheck?
The treasurer !!!!!! 11,668 hits primarily to read about - Great PR machine

Driveby, I highly doubt all those hits are from Claymont people, most of us get on here to read the stupid statements that are posted.

What's stupid about the truth. Do you think its fair to the families to have 3 coaches in six years. Great points have been raised about incompetent leaders. Do you have kids in the district? Where there smoke theres fire. Don't need a smoke alarm. Why did the support staff almost strike? Why so much drama with Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Softball. Claymont people are proud hard working families who deserve better, not from some outsider the first chance he gets he will leave. Or beter yet why would he leave when we don't hold him accoutable - board. Why didn't you run for the board when your friend got let go at I.V.?

The topic of this forum is " Claymont Basketball Head Coach" not "Claymont Superintendent / School Board".
The stupid statement was meant to be a vague statement about all the topics on the huddle, most people on here get on here to stir the pot and to have some fun, not to get the local news.

No, I don't have kids currently in the district (graduated), but I did for 8yrs,

I can't run for the school board due to "conflict of interests" and I along with Booster and others went directly to school board members and the Superintendent himself to express our opinion not get on some forum and beat it to death.

Good luck to Coach Doak, I wish him the best

I AGREE 100% Bigblue^^^ Yes the huttle is a sport forum to have fun and get info on local sports, not bash the school board post after post. If you are truely that unhappy go to the Board meetings and speek up, run for & get on the Board then do what you want to do and have people talk about you or take your kids and move or go to open enrollment. Good Luck to Coach Doak and his team this year, I will come to some games to support him when my Braves are on the road.

IVNBigblue84- You understand our fustration same thing happened with Brian Watkins, Ryan Delaney and Bill Grandison let him go. Supporters went to the board meeting, nobody listened - they wanted to hire someone with more experience, the guy they hired never coached a varsity game in his life and everyone new he was not going to stay except Ryan Delaney and Bill Grandison. THen they turn around and hire him as the A.D. Everyone down here has had enough. These seniors were Brians eigth graders who lost to Dover in the championship game. This is why Ryan Delaney needs to go. This is why we are mad.

Here is an idea.Stop worrying about the past and focus on the present and future. You have a good experienced coach who wants to stay there, with some good talent.Support the new coach and the kids and focus on them!

They beat Cambridge as eight graders in the Championship game (at Claymont.) I am sure these two schools will have a great game against each other at Claymont again this year.

But Brian Watkins didn't know what he was doing. Built a biddy program then gets run thanks Ryan Delaney and Bill Grandison. Give some credit to Brian 12,500 hits on this sight. IMO half read this because they want, they need these guys need to go.

Really talented Senior class at Claymont. Their Junior class has a group of 4 or 5 who are gym rats and really turned some heads during this past summer with their unselfishness and work ethic. The Mustangs should be an above .500 team the next two seasons. After that it is anyone's guess.
