I didn't get the opportunity to head down today but I heard it was a good day. None of us know how this season will pan out but I'm really looking forward to the D2 battle.

Norwalk and Padua only have the opportunity to face each once during the regular season (Mags Fall Showcase).

Coffman, Pick. North, Stow, Marion Local, Alter, Hartley, Lake & Padua.
Can anyone share their observation of the teams playing in the scrimmages yesterday? How are they looking this early in the season?

Well I can give my observations from watching Padua all day...They still continue to roll and still look like the real deal in D2 and the team to beat at this point....Padua beat Pickerington, Coffman, Marion Local, Alter, and Stow and only lost to Hartley 25-18 when their back row took a dump in one short stretch..that was enough...Hartley is a very good serving team...but then were up 13-7 in the second game at the time limit. If these two teams play at Kenston or in the State Final itll definitely be a war, possibly 5 games..but I am still going with Padua as the team to beat.

Norwalk will have some say about that

Yes, Padua would play Norwalk in the regional final...which is why I said IF they play Hartley in the state final...we will start with the Mags tourney in two weeks and see if Padua and Norwalk play then.

Plenty of talented teams in D2 again this season. We all have to remember that this is super early and things can turn around by the end of the season. All that one has to do is look at the progress Padua made last season. I know Norwalk took no prisoners in the Hartley scrimmage. To me, it means very little other than it helps the coaches to observe their personnel and make adjustments where needed. It's an opportunity to improve each time they step on the court. Norwalk has two scrimmages this week. Tuesday they are at St. Paul and Thursday they are home. Saturday evening is the annual Norwalk / Huron preview which will be at NHS this year.
