ROCK ON!
I agree OWK, what a tremendous job by rdlwolverine in finding all of that
info on Paul Keller. I think maybe rdlwolverine was actually known as "Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons" in a previous life ! (Mr Keen, TOLP was an old
radio show that ran from the mid thirties until the mid fifties) and before you
ask, no, I am not that old to have listened to the radio back in the 30's !

Great job rdlwolverine, btw, this Buckeye fan was rooting for your 'wolves in the tourney. Great run by the Blue.

Default Keene Tracer - 04-17-2013, 10:33 AM

Not aware of the old radio show, but there is a current business called Keene Tracer that goes through the unclaimed assets reports that each state publishes each year and then finds the people and contacts them with an offer to collect the funds for them for a fee. My father-in-law had a dispute with them about some assets they contacted him about but which he was able to identify and claim on his own.

Which all leads to a suggestion that each of you go to the unclaimed asset web site for any state that you have lived in and see if you have anything. Also worth checking for your parents. My wife and sisters were able to claim several hundred dollars last year relating to an insurance policy from the 1950s of their mother who died in 1991. They were also able to get several hundred dollars in unclaimed annuity payments for their father which had not been received by him due to an unreported address change.

Here is the link for the Ohio site - http://www.com.ohio.gov/unfd/.

When checking any states, always make sure you go to official state web site and not one for a private enterprise that will try to claim a commission.

I'm afraid if I look I might find an old unpaid cattle "rustlin'" offense.

It only identifies assets, not debts.

A sweet "goodbye" to folkie/rocker, Richie Havens, who passed away yesterday at the age of 72.

Richie got the Woodstock Arts and Music Fair off to a blazing start with his rendition of "Freedom", that had the 300,000 plus on their feet from the get go.

Richie Havens parlayed that one moment in Bethel, New York into a life-long career. Whenever he was interviewed, he always seemed like a really decent person.

RIP to Woodstock icon, Richie Havens.

Sad day as former PGA golfer and CBS commentator Ken Venturi passed away at 82. Venturi was well-liked and well-respected at many stops on the PGA tour, but he was especially loved in Akron. A high school friend of mine, now deceased, caddied for Venturi when Ken won the 1964 American Golf Classic at Akron's Firestone CC. My buddy was severely injured in Vietnam had some long-term health issues. Until my friend's death in 2009, Ken Venturi was constantly in contact with him and even stopped in Akron (in the off-season) to visit with his caddy from 1964. Stories like this do not often appear in the newspaper and guys like Ken Venturi don't do things like this for the publicity.

RIP Ken Venturi
