East Knox High School located in Knox county is looking to fill 2 positions of a new staff. They are in need of a JV and a freshman coach. PM me if interested or for more details.

Wow, what happen to the old coach? He was there for quite a few years. I know they have had a hard time, with pay to play, but most schools are doing that now. The new coach is the girls old coach? I thought the was Uhdle??

Coach Uhde went to Lexington 2 yrs ago. He was replaced by a former asst who was there for 2 yrs. Coach McDaniel was boy's coach for 2 or 3 yrs and just resigned. Coach Davis was asked to take the boys job and accepted. Jeremy Hubbard was hired for the girls.

McDaniel, had just completed his 4th year. He was looking forward to the next few years, they have a lot of young talent coming up. Things just didn't work out, no support from AD and football program. Wish Davis well, hope the basketball program continue's to get better at EK.

I thought that young talent that your talking about is already there. Those kids are Juniors & they have the next class right behind them. This group of boys should win at least 12-14 games this year. I was surprised they only won one game last year. What I have heard is the kids lost all respect for the last coach. It was time to go a different direction. I can see why the AD wouldn't support the coach if things have been going south for some time.

Who applied? Anyone from the MBC? I would think a decision would need to be made before too long! I know East Knox has always been know for football, but the past 5 years it has been way down!

No need to rush with July winding down.

Hope EK is known for all sports starting with this year!!!

Good luck to the fall coaches. Coach Hatfield and Coach Shultz will have their teams ready to go come the start of their seasons.

Not sure they tie teaching positions to jv and freshman coaching positions. Would have to contact the school AD to get that answer.
