Quentin isn't hurt NOW, which is when we need him. And we played Gomes in LF a lot the past couple of years, and he had less range than my mother-in-law. Get him, show him the route to walk to get to LF, have him get out of the way when Stubbs covers his area, and bat him behind Votto.

But, if I gotta stick with Dudwick/Lowsey in LF, or Frazier if Crusty The Clown keeps Rolen playing at 3B, then get some hitting coach to work with Stubbs to put the ball in play more. Since he scored again last night, the record this year when he scores at least 1 run is 26-2 per Thommy B. on TV last night. That's a pretty amazing stat.......

Ludwick is the anwser. They guy has range, can field with the best (check his fielding %) and gets on base a lot. Carlos would be a nice addition.

I will say this. If Dudwick could just get his average up to the .240-.250 range, I'd agree he's the best answer. He does walk a good amount....his OBP is about 80 points higher than his BA. I'm not asking for the numbers in his prime; just get it up to .240/.250 with .330/.340 OBP and his HRs now and then will make him the best candidate.

I note that Homerunallowed Bailey is at it again today.........

I don't presume to be any more knowledgeable than the others on this thread. I've enjoyed the other points of view. Baseball is great for different opinions......and names, or "slurs" as you call them?????

Am I in trouble with the PC Police????? When I watched the Big Red Machine in all its glory, was it wrong to call our shortstop "Con-Man" as my buddies and I did?

I will admit to not even having tried to come up with alternative monikers for Votto, Phillips, the pitching staff, our catchers, etc.

Ludwick got two more home runs for the Reds. Let the guy play and they will get good HR and RBI production...plus he is a GOOD outfielder!

Yep. Besides -- maybe he isn't the big answer for the Reds in left field. He is, though, a major league baseball player. That deserves a modicum of respect -- especially from those of us whose present accomplishment baseball-wise is as a poster on an internet board.
