Suprised to see the Pick North love continuing considering how the OL played in the scrimmages. YIKES!!!

We should stat a new one post scrimmages to see where the meter moved.
It would then be cool to see a pre playoff poll and compare again.

Boss...?

Stay thirsty my friends!

Gotta give the edge to Westerville South over Coffman right now. Would think PN gets in this year but no farther than a second round loss to one of the above two. Davidson, Darby, PC, Gahanna, Reynoldsburg, UA or Troy I would think would be fighting for the other spots. PC CANNOT start 0-2 and expect to make it in again this year. They've got to grab one of the first two at least.

Here's where the pre-season poll ended...

20.54% Pick Central
14.73% Coffman
12.40% Other
12.02% Davidson
10.85% W-South
8.91% Pick North
8.14% UA
7.36% Darby
4.26% Gahanna
0.78% Troy

I guess we found out (after the fact) who "other" was...it was the 3-head monster known at Olentangy Braves/St. Charles/O-Liberty. Looks like the pickers did a nice job with ID'ing Coffman in the mix, but weren't quite sold on Pick North or Westerville South yet. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out...

Reading back through the thread, I had some hits and misses:

* My regional final prediction (Pick North vs. Westerville South) isn't horrible. I would possibly make the same call today.

* My week 11 survivors were solid: Pick North, Westerville South, Coffman, and Pick Central. (I'd probably just swap Darby for one of them if I were to do it now).

* I was pretty much spot-on with Lancaster.

* I had Davidson at 8-2 and making a first round playoff exit. Close, but probably a little bit generous.

* I totally missed the boat on Olentangy Braves. I really misread that one. I'm really glad things are turning out for Coach T this year, though. He's been at it a long time and has been hearing a lot of negative comparisons to his Olentangy coaching counterparts (Cross & Hale). Good for him and good for the Braves!

* Likewise with St. Chuck. Didn't see them in the mix at all.

* Suprisingly I undersold my own team (Scioto) saying they "wouldn't challenge for a playoff spot". Hope the Irish faithful can forgive me.

* I also really expected more from Marysville. Very disappointed there. Maybe they can put it together and knock of a depleted UA or Davidson, but it is not looking good.

Schools that have a chance to get into the top 8 are:
Lancaster, Reynoldsburg, Hilliard Bradley, Olentangy Liberty, Marysville, Westerville Central and Troy.
Troy is my sleeper team even though they had a good group of seniors last year.
....Is a beautiful thing....."Boss" was very in depth early in the year as you discussed Lancaster.....Your prediction here is also WAY off.....you really need to think about how you factor things in.....Hope and likes obviously don't work......

Well of ALL the pre-season predictions this one turned out to be the [size="3"]BEST....

Gahanna (and several others) put their "leg up" on UA........
