Default Miami Trace/Amanda Scrimmage - 08-17-2012, 10:28 PM

Went to the scrimmage tonight trace came out on top in a very close game. Trace coach puts up with nothing, make a mistake and your coming out. Qb seems to be a little small but big arm. The d held up great except for one big run. Looks like trace might be on the rebound i am thinking in the range of 7-3 maybe 8-2 its for certain this new coach will do whatever he can to bring home the win. Also a loss won't be for lack of effort!

Amanda is not going to be as strong this year as they have been the past few years. Not much depth at all. It surely doesn't help that the starting quarterback is done for the season. Corners for Amanda were suspect at best. Corners let a miami trace receiver take a 5 yard hitch 50+ yards for a touch down, and got beat deep a few times. The Offense couldn't sustain a drive. The one long run for a touchdown was about the only positive thing they did on offense.

Miami trace was not impressive either. The only real playmakers were the quarterback and the bigger receiver. They couldn't get anything going on the ground. Miami trace couldn't put a drive together either. They lived off of big plays tonight.
However from what I hear, Miami Trace is much improved from this past season.

Amanda Clearcreek at Hartley could get very ugly fast.

shoot 08, I agree the loss of the starting QB (Smith) is definitely going to be a challenge to overcome. And AC certianly can't aford any additional key injuries. However I have to admit Templeton did a pretty good job stepping up at QB and he will improve over the course of the year. The AC seniors are going to have to step up and show real leadership to keep this season moving in the right direction. Hartley will definitely be a challenge, but I think the Aces will still be a force in the league. This senior class has always been strong and successful, I don't look for that to change now.

Hats off to Miami Trace though, I thought they played well and definitely played hard. Good luck on your season!

Aces for Life it's been a breath of fresh air with the New Coach and his staff. He has been very successful as a head coach. We have discpline back and have expectations of the players, he truly is a great teacher of life and the game. He makes everyone around him better including his coaches, which we knew would happen. He has also started to develop the younger players to keep the program strong year after year. The community has embraced the new direction and we should win some football games this year. Aces have a strong defense
again this year and should still win the league. I Also think your QB will get better after every game, I thought he stepped up and did a nice job. Good Luck against Hartly and I say the Aces make the Playoffs again this year. My hats off to your coaching staff the Aces have a great Football Tradtion, and it is always nice to see well coached players.
