Doak had head coaching experience, Ady and Haney had no experience! Is that the best they can interview. How can a proud Division 2 school only attract this list. If Doak would not of applied we would of hired another head coach with no experience. lets hire a superintendent with no experience
oh we did be careful what you wish for. Who is running the show board or supt

Grad... It sounds like you need to run for & get on the School Board & turn things around.

Do you honestly think they would let anyone else make a decision other than delaney. Where did sibert go? Did the good old boys move him up the ladder. I'm sure delaney/gradison controlled that list of candidates also. I feel bad for the administration their.

From what i have heard,Doak is going to have a solid youth program, which i guess the previous coach did not have at all.I know he had a camp as soon as he got hired last month for grades 4-12.I saw it advertised in the paper.Thats a good start. He said in the paper that Claymont was his last coaching gig so Im sure he is going to work hard with the young kids since they are his future players.Consistency with the same head coach from year to year should help the program stay strong.

Almanac you are now on the wrong side of delaney and grandison - they actually felt and said they were happy with the youth program. Ask anyone in town. I applaud Doak for getting started at the lowere levels - doesn't excuse incompetence from previous coach and delaney and grandison cover for him.

Blarg... TRUE! Coach Doak has alot of PASSION for the game of Basketball, and YES he has had SUCCESS in the past. That is ALL GOOD NEWS for the Claymont program. Scott LOVES & KNOWS the game and will give the kids ALL he has to give. As he said in the T/R this is my last stop. GOOD LUCK to him and the Stangs.

Good luck to who ever gets it. Dosen't mean they will have a say in anything.
Previous A.D. proved that. When you have a dictator running the show-you learn how to become a bobble-head. A wise man once said when every thinks alike no one thinks. stay tuned the spin doctor will keep us heading in the wrong direction.

Claymont Grad, what year did you graduate and what is your gripe or complaint with the present superintendent? It is obvious you have issues with him.

This is not just my opinion, there are a whole lot of taxpayers tired of this guys act. He has no vested interest, he said he moved here thats a joke, we are such a great school academically and athletic's why doesn't his kids come. The board has not held him accountable and its time the community stands up. Look at some of his hires who have let us high and dry teaching and sports wise. Doak has his work cut out for him because these guys allowed the program to dimish. Delaney-Dolan-Discounts.

Well like i said before Coach Doak says this is his last coaching gig so they should just leave him alone and let him coach the kids up and get a good youth program going. If he is committed to his program, which i am sure he is, then the consistency of having him there from year to year should pay off.Just my opinion.

Claymont Grad..I met have to take a stand with you on Delaney if the proper action isn't taken against some current players for there off field incidents recently. How can you reward these players with playing time on a football field or basketball court. What is it showing the other players who work hard and stay out of trouble? I think Doak will run a tight ship once they are playing basketball for him.

Ring, Like I said in the football post. Lets hope the proper pushishment is handed out. Players have done less and got 2 games in the past, but new coach new rules. My opinion when stealing is involved, why would you want to show the kids football is a reward for stealing. Why would I need luck? I am not breaking the law.
