Default Brionte Dunn - 07-30-2012, 03:48 PM

Freshman running back Brionte Dunn, was caught with weed/paraphernalia, after a traffic stop for a broken tail-light. Can these guys get ANY dumber?

Just when you think these guys can't get any dumber, you read another report like this one. I find that the older I get, the less tolerant I become of the seemingly constant acts of stupidity involving college and high school athletes. What are these kids thinking ?? Dunn has a full ride scholarship to Ohio State and he can't even stay out of trouble long enough to make it to the first day of practice on Wednesday ! Unbelievably stupid. With the injury to Jordan Hall, this now leaves another void at the tailback position.

Assuming Urban Meyer suspends him or tosses him, this now only leaves 3 tailbacks on scholarship, Carlos Hyde, Rod Smith, and Warren Ball until Hall is healthy enough to return. All eyes are watching Meyer to see what he will do of course and after the Stoneburner, Mewhort, and Klein incidents this summer, he now has this act of stupidity by Dunn added to his plate.

Honestly, if this is an example of the character of Brionte Dunn, I won't be heartbroken if he tosses him off the team permanately. This is not the type of player that is needed at OSU and I don't care if he is an all-world recruit.

Dunn should be asked to (Coach) voluntarily submit for testing. If positive, like Klein off the team.

In a clear case of divine intervention the drug charges have been changed
to disorderly conduct. . .Dunn's mother, Donna Hatcher, upon arriving at the
scene of the arrest explained that the marijuana and pipe were already in her
car before her son borrowed her car. He still faces misdemeanor charges for
not wearing a seat belt and having a broken tail light. I don't fully understand how a seat belt violation and tail light violation end up being considered disorderly conduct charges ???

Appears to me Ms Hatcher took one for the team, God love her ! It's going to be an amazing season.

When you give your child a name that includes, hyphens, commas or other, you usually are a person on drugs!

Drug test him. If he's clean, great. If he's not , see ya!!

It will be interesting to see how Urban handles this one.
