Looking for information on 16U or 17U fall baseball teams or tryouts in the Akron/Canton area. I have already looked at SSBL website, and about every other place I can think of. Thanks!

From what I understand, the teams in the SSBL generally do not have tryouts in the fall. The best bet is to contact the league, I believe their info is on the website. They will post players info (name, phone no., positions, etc) for coaches to contact. There is normally a post with teams that are looking for players, you could try contacting those coaches also.

There is also a wood bat league in Wayne County, takes all high school ages, so there is a variety of skill levels, but they do a good job of evening out the talent. Players sign up as individuals and are assigned to a team. At one time (3-4 yrs ago), the competition was very good, not sure about lately, the numbers have been down.
