Ashland University has a team dual overnight camp on July 13th and 14th. Newark is forming a team (or teams if we have enough people interested) and have several kids committed to do this as of right now. The weight classes are: 105, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 170, 185, 205, 285. We have a location to practice (and have wrestle-offs if needed) that week (July 9th-12th) at Wilson Middle School in Newark in the afternoons. We will stay overnight from Friday to Saturday and the team would get 10 matches in two days. This opportunity is open to anyone that is willing to travel to Newark for 4 days of practices and split the cost for the team entry and hotel. Update:
We will be practicing Monday through Thursday from 11:45-1:45 at Wilson Middle School (at 805 West Church Street Newark, OH 43055). So far we should have wrestlers from Newark, Watkins, Newark Catholic, Heath, Granville, and Lakewood in attendance. We may be able to field two teams and there is still time to join us even if you show up the first day of practice. The cost is $75 for the entry fee+ hotel and any food money you bring. Feel free to attend the open practices/mats even if you can't attend the Ashland Duals on the 13th and 14th. The more kids we have wrestling together the better it is for everyone.
