if they had to wear something like that, you'd probably not have enough girls going out to field a team. i would NOT allow my daughter to wear that attire during a school event.. Would you?

Answer to question is no. Since teams always stay apart (opposite sides of net) from each other there is no rule requirement for teams to have home and away jerseys. That's not to say that teams don't have them but it is not required by rule. It is not uncommon for a match to be played with both teams wearing the same color jerseys.
