I really don't know all the by-laws either, ohmy. That's pretty much going from what's been said by everyone for at least 10 years. Otherwise I don't know of another reason that its never happened.
I agree Ram. Tinora is probably more of a dream then anything. I wouldn't have a problem with Otsego either. I always thought that Napoleon coming back would be interesting, but I have a feeling that they found their home this time.

I would be inclined to say yes but can not be totally certain. The enrollment does make up a portion of the formula used to see who gets left off the schedule for the next 2 years.

Digger, I am sure the reason it never has been done is that no school or AD have enough kahones (sp?) to bring it on the table at league meetings.
As far as Napoleon coming into the league. That would not be a win win for the league or them even though there are some schools in similiar size.

You may be right, but I find it very hard to believe that its just because nobody felt like bringing up. The pains, agony, stress, and money that needs to be payed by some schools to get a game out-weights all of that. Some schools have to deal with this every year. Agreement or not. And I think that if it was that easy, then something would have been done a long, long time ago.
But I do agree with you about Napoleon. Its just something I'd like to see. But they are in a good place now.

How do you see Bryan's season turning out in their second season with the spread offense?

I'm also curious why one of the largest teams in the league has the most people on the board and still nothing gets done. There is 2 div 3 teams in this league and one of them have more board members then anyone else. So I find it hard to beliecf that they are happy beating a division 6 school with no OOC wins when they could just vote them out, or at least bring it up for a vote. I do know that its a HUGE deal right now. Because some schools are not willing to keep doing this. So that is why I don't feel it has anything to do with people being scared to say anything.

And Purplen... I see them getting better. That is a system that takes time to develope. But the right player has to run it. Seems to be going in a good direction right now.

Don't have enough to get rid of them on their own, need some support from others.
Pick up this tenth school that has been rumored for decades and that problem is solved anyway.
Last but probably not least there is also the reality that if you win enough of your games it doesn't matter who you play you will go to the playoffs.
Plus not everybody is in a position to be worrying about points every year and that's never going to change.
Most of the other eight would probably take your week nine problem if they could have the decade long playoff run and state championship with it.

Bryan potentially has the best backfield in the NWOAL.

Napoleon coming back to the league is a pipe dream. They are in the perfect spot now. Remember also, football is not the only sport contested in the NWOAL, so computer points gained and lost is not at the top of everyone’s “must fix” list. I would bet you can saddle that right next to who has the off week and when.
Bryan could be a monster this year. Bacon is the engine that will make that train move, as long as he is the up back and not the QB. Bryan may be better on the defensive side though. Good looking team.

Is it to early to start a list on how many starters on each side of the ball each team in the league has coming back and by position if possible?

No. Not everyone would be in a playoff spot if they won all of their league games. Its been pretty obvious over the years that some of the teams cannot rely only on that. Bryan for example before Wauseon moved to division 3. But really. What does that have to do with anything? All teams can schedule their OOC games as they want. The only difference is the schedule makes it easy for some, and a nightmare for others. I don't think that's right. And if the other 8 teams would gladly trade a decade of success in the playoffs for week 9 open, then maybe they should step up to the plate and try it. I am willing to bet a ton of money that the success that PH has had has nothing at all to do with the open week being week 9. Call me wrong, but I guarantee having week 9 open has nothing to do with it. You make it sound like its some form of punishment.

Coach Lane. I agree with you. I only brought up Napoleon because I thought it would be awesome years ago. No way now. Like I said, they found their home, and its perfect for them.
