June 27th, 28th and 29th, 2012 in Bowling Green, OH. Girls Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman teams are welcome to participate. 2 Days of Pool Play and 1 day of Tournament Play. $300 per varsity team, $250 per JV, $200 per Frosh team. Too bad this overlaps the AAU National Tournament for the 16-18's. Competition ends on June 27th and many players won't be home until June 28 or later.

There are a lot of teams signing up to play at the AAU Nationals hoping that it will be good prep for USAV Nationals.... besides that, it is top notch competition and a great tournament.

Great Tournament- Great Town- Have been to this tournament a few times and always great competition (after day 1). Also AAU provided 1/2 day passes for parks for purchase- which worked out great last year.

College Coaches also in abundance at AAU-(also at USA Nationals)

Yes you do not have to qualify- but let's get serious qualifying for USA Nationals has become alot easier in the past few years with the increase in number of teams accepted and the JVA boycott.

You don't sign a $795.00 check to become fodder for teams to play. Granted you don't have to qualify, there usually is some of the top teams in the country that play in this.

I take it that the "Black Swamp" tournament is named for the geographic area and not sponsored by "Black Swamp Volleyball Club". Might be confusing for some.

You are correct grub, this is not hosted by the Black Swamp Volleyball Club.

The tournament is hosted by Bowling Green Parks and Recreation for high school based teams looking to compete in a summer tournament.

Friday, June 1st is the deadline for the Black Swamp Summer Volleyball Challenge in Bowling Green. Dates: Wednesday - Friday, June 27th - 29th
Cost: Varsity Team $300, Junior Varsity Team $250, Freshman $200
School based Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity girls volleyball teams will participate in two days of pool play and one day of tournament play. Games are held at either the Bowling Green High School, Junior High or the Bowling Green Community Center. Number of games per team depend on the number of teams registered. Team Registration only, no individual player registration. Registration forms and payment must be submitted by June 1st, 2012 or a $25 late fee will be added to each team entry.
