With oil prices at low $80's/barrel fuel prices should be well below $3/gal. not to mention that national usage is way down as well.

Why do people believe that price should vary with cost? Cost, in particular variable cost, functions as a floor to price. There is no other relationship between the two.

3.19 in Richmond KY yesterday. I guess my question why such disparity in the area. It can't be cheaper to truck it there from the river then it is to here. What is the deal

3.38 in Licking county........3.64 in Knox county??????

IMHO, this is the one thing the government needs to get under control. It affects nearly every part of our lives.

BTW, wasn't gas predicted to go over 5.00/gallon this summer?

Oil supplies(world wide) have risen with new discoveries, oil(fuel) demand has dropped due to lagging worldwide economy, production cost(to my knowledge) have remained steady, consumer cost would normally follow suit.

Went to the stores in Beavercreek, OH. Saw 3.38 to 3.49 still not as low as the price of oil says it should be. This was on Sunday afternoon.

Don't worry...the conservatives are feverishly working on the latest excuse for the lowering of the gas prices. I'm sure it will have nothing to do with anything connected to the President. It gets silly after awhile. White is black, day is night...it just comes spewing from the right in an effort to overpower everything President Obama is doing to attempt to orchestrate an economic rebirth. I think things are much better than they were. What have the conservatives offered? Fear and more fear. The sky is still up there this morning and I paid 3.20 at the pump about an hour ago. It must be tough to keep the excuses coming. Meanwhile many young people just got a major health boost from the President Also I read in the paper that the conservatives will have to come up with a reason that numerous states have experienced a real drop in unemployment and it isn't because people have given up. It's because that employment opportunities have been expanding.

And to top it all off, my least favorite Congressman, John Boehner has once again publicly threatened tp vote down "Obamacare" as he prefers to call it. If the country had followed Boehner's advice, the new name for healthcare reform would be "Nocare".

I made the right choice in 2008 and will remain solidly behind the President in 2012.

So, Bush gets the credit for sub-2.00 gasoline when he turned the reins over to Obama? Shame on folks for politicizing a nice economic discussion.

Maybe the Thin Black Duke is learning that it's fun to kill bad guys, and it's not fun to push gas to five bucks a gallon.

Okay, that was my giggle for the day. On a more pensive note, it will be interesting to see how much of a rebound, if any, the price will take this weekend gearing up for July 4. Being the holiday is on a Wednesday instead of closer to a weekend, who knows?

Gas will be under $3.00 come October. Obama will be sure of that. The world wants Obama to win. Anybody American in the right mind would vote for Romney. Obama is the weakest president in my lifetime by far.

Obama will win. Not because the media wants it to happen. Because Romney has no idea what to say about immigration because no one in charge of him has told him what to say yet. Romney tried to actually take partial credit for the Automobile recovery for making that brilliant proclamation that we should have let the auto industry go belly up. Again, an example of open mouth and insert foot. Obama has developed a plan for getting us back to normal economically and the results of his efforts are becoming more evident every day. Meanwhile, there are conservatives out there who still hope they can squeeze a few votes from those that still buy the "He isn't a citizen" or the "He's a Muslim and loves Reverend Wright..." things that have long-sense been abandoned by thinking Americans who base their Presidential requirements on someone who has control of the situation and is ready to guide us to a successful economic solution for as many Americans as is possible.

Just for laughs, we ought to ask those who are back working every day on the automobile production lines around this country whether they concur with Romney and the Auto industry should have been busted and brought to their knees by simply allowing them to fail?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am really anxious for the Presidential debates to begin. I think it will be very telling.
