I really don't see enough of the coaches outside the OCC to give you as good of an opinion as those do who follow those leagues. I like Green at Centennial simply because he is a protege of Coach Lee, who I always had the ultimate respect for. Having seen their tournament game last year in which they were significantly outmanned against Orange, I also think the young coach at Walnut Ridge, as well as my friend at Briggs, will do a good job once they get deeper talent-wise. As for the OCC, I don't have any significant problems with those listed. I think the Coffman and Central Crossing coaches are also doing a good job.

Interesting list.
I think Feasel is too high on the OCC list. Chris Savage at UA, and Shumate at Newark should be ahead of him.
Top Coaches in the Private School grouping is way off.
Shekinah's Coach should probably be #1. Regionals in only their 4th year of girl's basketball. Beat Worthington Christian straight up, and only have something like 20 girls in school.
Newark Catholic has really solid coaching. District Champs, and should be in top 4.
Watterson's coach at times gets too much credit, but leaving him off this list is silly. Ten times better than the Worthington Christian Coach, and also better than the DeSales coach.
Joe Lang at Ready is as good, if not better than all 3 coaches that are listed in this top 3. HAd a rough year last year, but has been a great coach over the long haul and will have his girls right back challenging in the tough CCL once again.
JA coach is only one that should be in the top 3 here. Had some really good teams throughout the years.
Dean Washington at #4 in the City League? Seriously? Just behind McKinney at Africentric.

Tinkerbell? REally? when/where did you see or hear this? they have a boy's coaching vacancy, but hadn't heard anything like that about the girls program.
oldschool? UA's coach? Really? Many coaches I know disagree with that one,
I agree with most of the others and your reasoning. good list.

Thanks for the responses and old school, I do appreciate your input. 3dognites, Green lost to JA in the district semis. The stars hung pretty tough with them. Remember that I am alwayslearning and I do appreciate all the insight that has been giving to me.

Well I heard the lady raiders are loaded and were loaded before they got all these transfers. Coach has pressure now and should win the state. The transfers are: The Orr twins from whitehall, a girl from canton mckinnley, and the point guard from twinsburg. Open enrollment is in the house! 3dogs, you will have a wonderful year keeping score.

Ok, but that still makes them the team to beat in the district, the taller Orr can play, but they love jenkins so she will be coming off the bench, but imo, she is a starter

They were probably the team to beat in the CD before the twins arrived, but no doubt this gives them a ton of depth.
Jenkins may be the best defensive guard in the state, plus she hardly ever turns the ball over. No way should anyone start over her at pg.

The information from Spurs is correct. We were at the Xavier shootout over the weekend, and Marquia Turner was and is playing for McKinley at this point. As for Morrisette at Twinsburg, she wasn't there, but that was not newsworthy. She has a history of not playing summer ball other than AAU season. As for the comment about open enrollment, NONE of these potential transfers had anything to do with open enrollment. The Orrs moved for other reasons, and the two from out of town, if anything happens, would be based on residence changes dealing with a parent's jobs. As has been said, however, nothing else has happened and perhaps nothing will. As for a change at point guard, it is NOT going to happen this season. Any current or potential move-ins will be playing the 2, 3, or backup at 1, 2, or 3. The Orrs are good players, and tremendous young ladies, but are learning quickly the difference in playing and competition level between Mid-State League and Best-of-State teams. They have learned that not just in the competition, but on their first visit to the strength and conditioning coach, when they couldn't quite lift the weight that Jenkins (despite her size and speed, proceeded to do 11 reps on. They are great learners, however, and are willing to put in the work needed to get even better.

I just go by what people tell me, and 85% of what I say is correct dude which 10% of what you say is bogus, but its ok and I will always keep learning and improving. I was correct in my track post, boys went to the state, girls need some more help, if barnes would have ran the 200 hundred, they might have one the state. Everything barnes participated in, she won. Take her of the relays and Eastmoor is done, period! Football, I am on the money there as well, what I said was true, Northland is doo doo and miranda skills kept them a float. When he got to Eastmoor Academy, with smarter players, just a bit better, not much, got to championships with his coaching staff. In girls hoops, again with very little talent, after Ayana Dunning, kept playing for championships because of his coaching staff. You must want to join the staff, since you tear them down so much. 3dogs and spurs 50_21, I love jenkins game, she can play despite height and will be a good college player as well.

Boys went to state and they were horrible, little fact that you may not know. Girls 4 by 2 would of won state if mookie was not on it or on it. Know they would not of set state record and yes mookie is a great runner and also leader . Reason they did not win states east dropped baton in regional finals in the 4 by 100 which mookie is not part of and they had the 2 fastest time in state. Also eastmoor girls will win states next year and 2 years after mookie leaves , because of talent at school. Now basketball wise eastmoor girls should won the state they had 2 major d-1 players plus one mid d-1 player. So.when you have talent and don't what does that tell you. Then to football he has had good players and teams at eastmoor . Question name games he has won he should not of won . Then can you be honest and name teams he should of beat that he lost too that would be considered a upset . And your putting marlie from Afro.as one of the top ten players in central Ohio and weatherspoon shows your bias but lack of objectivity when it comes to the city.

bbaau, I like the city because I played in the city, watched the city all my life. Lately I have broaden my horizons and I have tried to do my best to watch all types of schools and styles. So yes I am a little biased, but not goofy. Marlee came from the OCC to the city, so we seen her skills in both divisions. The twins from harvest prep, last year seniors, did not do nothing in the city, so that tells me something! Jasmine Weatherspoon is a good talent, best believe she will be playing college ball next year. Eastmoor Academy lady warriors did pretty good sources say this summer in the shootouts that they participated in. Amani Burke is a big name buddy, you said they did not have no big names. She is about 5"10 and her game is improving everyday. Could be one of the best freshman in the city, could be one of the top 10 best in the city including all classes.

I always told everybody on here my opinion and I have seen these girls play too, so why did you lie and say that don't have a big name? I don't lie on the blogs and if I do make a mistake, I correct myself unlike a whole bunch of people on here. It will be amazing if their coach wins this year, but of course everybody will say she is suppose to win like you do with everybody in the city but we don't say that for teams in the suburbs. Its shady how people treat the city and we have city people like you that treat them like everybody else do which is with no respect! I am starting to feel sorry for africentric's coach now, cause people dog the shis out of him and all he do is win. People also dog washington and where ever he goes, he wins too, Just going to shake my head and move on!

Were did I say you lie? I said back up your facts and you will never hear me say anything against coach will , but unlike you I will and gave told him anything but a state championship will be considered a failure but guess what he thinks the same thing because he knows when he should get it done. He without doubt is one of the top coaches in the state re guardless of division.

Any of you guys are bloggers on ********** sports? It is a big blog about the twinsburg kid coming to reynoldsburg. They said its for money reasons, her father wants a better paying job and of course reynoldsburg just happens to be good in girls hoop. The Orr twins choosed reynoldsburg because of whitehalls coach stepping down due to pregnacy. They still live in whitehall, so checked that and see where I got my opinion from, did say I stated facts, but opinions. Im logging out!
