What I said and it will bear out at states they can't run with the boys from Dayton that's why they choice Lexington instead of Dayton regional. I said no way they win or compete for state title , and that will be correct the best finish might be second place in 4/100 . Before you post check facts please.

The 400/100 has 3 freshman and one junior and trust me if and when he decides to let others help they will and can . 4/100 drop the baton matter of fact it was mine who did it , other team cross into eastmoor lane at time of exchange and hit her ARM . They got dq but in turn a drop baton. As for help he has it in the 400 coach decided not to run her she would of qualified for states. Also if he had ran a 4/400 they would of qualified for states so trust me he has help maybe you should check out things before you post. And look at Ohio split dot com and see eastmoor boys were they stack up with Dayton boys

Always learning what do you have to say after state semi about eastmoor boys, or do you need to.read paper or go on a web site. Let me sum it up not pretty . Hudson made it in 110 lows will finish in 8 spot which is good. The 4 by two will finish in 4 place behind the Dayton teams. The 4 by 100 did not make it due to a injury by crosby during the race, but they were in 4 place in there heat at time of handoff anyway and would not of qualified anyway. In the 400 second in heat will finish in 4 place. So all the going to another regional at some point you had to face the Dayton boys and face realize they are in different league. But with all that said akron st v wins boys and girls unless crazy things take place. It was a good season for both teams but with the talent girls have in the school they will compete for states the next 3 years .

The Eastmoor boys finished 6th at the state meet, and the girls finished second. Ironically, a difficult decision at the district meet 2 weeks earlier may have cost the girls the title. Dynamic freshman Cheyenne Carter could easily have gone in 5 events, both sprints, both sprint relays, and the long jump, an event she had easily set an unrecognized (wind-aided) state record in at the City League Championships. For whatever reason, they decided to keep her out of the long jump and just have her run in the other 4 events (competitors are limited to a maximum of 4 events). Things went well until a week later at the regionals when the 4X100 team did not finish the race. Carter therefore came to the state meet eligible in only 3 events, since she had not qualified at the regionals in the other 2. If they had entered her in the long jump rather than the 4X100 at the district meet, they would have likely scored 10 additional points at the state meet, which would have given them the title. Sad set of circumstances, but a fine runner-up performance anyway. Congratulations to the Warriors.

Another state record for the Reynoldsburg girls' team as they jut broke the all-time all-divisions record in the 4X100 relay with a time of 45.99. The old record in the event was held by Cincinnati Withrow, who finished third in the race this year. Final D1 team results within an hour or so. The raiders Tsehaye Hiluf also broke the state record in the boys 3200 with a time of 8:55.04, breaking the previous record set by Strongsville's Chris Kollar nine years ago by over a full second. Faith Washington set an Owens Satdium record in the girls 300- meter hurdles, but did not quite get the state record set by Groveport Madison's Tiffany Flomo many years ago when the state meet was still held in Ohio Stadium.

Final standings in D1:
Boys:
1. Lakewood St. Ed's
2 (tie) Lancaster and Pickerington North
4 Thomas Worthington
5 Dublin Coffman
6 Berea
7 (tie) Westerville North and Solon
9 Middletown
10 Gahanna Lincoln
With Reynoldsburg finishing 12th and Canal Winchester 13th, the central district claimed 8 of the top 13!!
On the girls side, Coach Denny Hammond and dynamic seniors Destinee Gause and Faith Washington went out in style. Their 22 point victory over runnerup Lorain gave them their 4th straight D1 state championship. Rounding out the top 10:
3 (tie) Dublin Coffman and Solon
5 (tie) Olentangy Orange and Medina
7 (tie) Brecksville-Broadview Hts and Toledo Notre Dame Academy
9 Cincinnati Withrow
10 (tie) West Geauga, Chillicothe and Canal Winchester
I will edit/update this post shortly with four year state medal totals for Gause and Washington.
Update: 4 year medal totals for Reynoldsburg teammates Destinee Gause (signed with Florida) and Faith Washington (signed with Vanderbilt):
Gause: 12 1st places, 6 in individual races (including 4 consecutive 200-meter dash state championships) and 6 in relays, plus 3 second place finishes as member of relay teams.
Wasington: Individual events: 1 first, 1 second, 2 third, 3 4ths. As relay member: 5 firsts 2 seconds, 1 third. Giving them each one quarter of the points scored by any relay team they were on, they combined to account for 144 points.

One point of clarification: Faith was all state 15 times...add one more individual 4 th place (3 total), as she was 4 th in state finals of the 300 hurdles her freshman year. However, your point is well made! The two seniors have contributed significantly to the championship results over the past four years. The team rewrote Ohio sprint relay record books. Their departure will be a certain door opener for other well balanced D1 teams like Solon, Dublin Coffman, Dublin Sciota, and Mason. Did I hear the Happy Days are here again song playing? :-)

I see we have another person that's gotten wrong information. One you are only able to run 4 events in track. No.2 she did the long jump in the district she fouled on all 3 attempts and therefore did not qualify to go to the regional.

What a year for the OCC Ohio in all sports. Reynoldsburg girls win state, Lancaster and Pic North boys seconds. This may be the premier league in Ohio.

Clarification drop at regional finals last Friday eastmoor did. Carter 4 events scheduled for districts were as follows. (1) long jump (2) 100 yard dash (3) 4/200 (4) 200 meter dash. At district meet ran at westerville south she did the long jump but fouled on all of her attempts. The 4/100 at district meet which consisted of 3 freshman and a junior and carter was not one of the girls that day. So coach had a decision to make leave 4/200 without carter and ride with them . He chose the later .

luveque... Correct you are. Actually, I think I had that one, but had missed one of the other two. Good to see her get her first individual gold yesterday in the 300...it always has been her best event. I have edited my post to show the correct info, including combined point totals for both girls.
bbaau...Thanks for the clarification. I did say in my post that a participant could only compete in four events. Since Carter had run in both the 100 and 200, I assumed incorrectly that she was on both relay teams as well. That assumption was due to the fact that the results posted on baumspage.com did not reflect the individual members of the relay teams, and when I saw a ND (no distance) for her in the long jump results rather than a reflection that she had fouled on her attempts, I assumed she had been pulled from that event to compete in the other 4.

I would be remiss on this thread if I left off New Albany's Karrington Winters. She won the 400 meters at the district, regional, and state level without a serious threat in any final. The kicker...she is only a freshman. Just one of a rather large handful of young stars who will be following in the footsteps of the veterans.
