Loving finished with 32. He had two dunks, one on a breakaway and the second after picking up an offensive rebound 5 feet from the rim and seeing the SFS defense part like the Red Sea. I also recall two 3-pointers and a 3rd that was waved off because he was out of bounds when he caught the pass. As usual, he got to the line early and often. To say SFS doesn't have anyone that can match up is an understatement.
Gardner looked very good. He came out with ice on his wrist after halftime but played quite a bit.
SFS pushed the ball up the floor for most of the first half and might have taken the lead a time or two if their post players could catch a pass and complete a move.
The best defense of the night goes to Father Doyle, Father Martinez and Brother Laniauskas. The student section was kept on a tight leash, although they looked rather uninspired for most of the game, anyway. I guess playing a one win team will do that to you.
