The Capital University football team will host a variety of camps from July 8-19 for players entering grades 6-12, head coach Henry Stanford announced earlier this week.
On Sunday, July 8, students entering grades 9th through 12th can participate in the High School Evaluation Camp. The one-day camp is intended to help players develop and test their skills for the future and costs $65, with a $40 non-refund fee. A camper paid in full can receive a $25 refund up to 14 days before the start of the camp. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the clinic will conclude at 3 p.m.
The Crusaders’ Junior High Camp will take place July 15 for players entering grades 6-8. This camp will give participants exposure to the Capital campus and help athletes improve their skills, prepare for the season and fulfill their potential. Registration begins at noon on the 15th, and the camp wraps up at 4:30 pm, and the cost is $35 pre-registered and $45 at the door. There is a $20 non-refund fee. You can receive a $15 refund up to 14 days before the start of camp. If the camp is canceled, campers will receive a full refund minus a $10 processing fee.
Capital football will also hold six one-day 7-on-7 Passing Camps and Big Man Sessions for high school teams. Dates for large schools (Divisions 1-2) are July 11, 18 and 19, while dates for small schools (Divisions 3-6) are July 10 and 17. The cost for both 7-on-7 and Big Man camps is $160 per team, while 7-on-7 only is $110 per team and Big Man only is $80 per team. Registration begins each day at 12:45 p.m., and the camp runs from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
