Madison should not have a problem finding an experienced person to take the job. Ken Brubaker has paid his dues under Lauber and Subich. Maybe Bobbi Weaver, Lexington coach would return to Madison. She has ties to Sue Subich.
Madison will be rebuilding. They don't have a tall front line of blockers and hitters. They have plenty of servers, setters and passers. Norwalk will rule the area for several years. After next year, enrollment numbers are evaluated and probably Norwalk and Madison will move to D-1 like their basketball and baseball programs. Competition will be different.
Coach Lauber did a fantastic job in her 5 years at Madison. I wish her and her daughter happiness and success in the future. Ram fans are so proud.

Doubt very much that Weaver goes back to Madison as she is a counselor at Lex and her daughter will be a freshman next year. She is a very good player just in case there was any doubt.

I dont think coach Weaver would leave the team she has built, with players like Jenni Payne and Haley Slayton and others, to take a job at a school that just lost basically their entire team to start all over and not have half the talent as the team you would be leaving. Plus im sure she would secretly enjoy putting a pounding on Madison. Colsflipper im sure Lexington has something to say about who is going to win the occ, dont think west holmes has enough to beat lexington, Snyder can only do so much. Go big lex.

yes it should be a good race, offensively thats all WH really has not much else.... remember this is volleyball not basketball so I dont think Lex is to worried... stop Snyder and her hitting the c or slide and you stop WH, they will have a decent defensive team. go big lex and good luck to west holmes.

everyone will be a year older, I'm not so sure you shouldn't be a little worried. If their outsides can be consistent, the team will be hard to beat. With Park's daughter setting and the freshman middle, they will have some weapons to go with Laina.

exactly everyone will be a year older, our outsides were good last year should be outstanding this year...defense will be good, our young middle has a year of experience. Your young middle coming from 8th grade to play varsity we will have to see how that works out for her. Colsflipper ive read plenty of your posts before you dont give any credit to any occ team except west holmes, i think they will have a decent team this year but dont think they can beat Lex, but time will tell. With madison being way down next year the occ is up for grabs,
1. Lexington wins occ
2. West holmes
3. Orrville
wooster, madison, ashland is a toss up.

First, i never said anything bad about Lexington. Quite honestly, i don't know anything about them except their coach. I was just responding to your post that said all WH had was Snyder. I have given props to teams in the OCC, Madison has owned the league for a few years and Orrville has made some good runs. I would also say the 8th grade middle is playing club ball at Mintonette, and is playing against very good competition and being coached by 2 of the top coaches in the state. I am sure she will have her freshman moments, but i don't think she will be a "typical" freshman. Like you said, time will tell.

By the sounds of it, your Lex should win the conference. I wish them the best of luck!

Colsflipper, you said you gave props to occ teams, c'mon you picked against Madison in every Tournament game from the districts on. I think I would have to go with Lexington to win the occ next year.

Just because i didn't pick madison in tournaments games doesn't mean i don't give props to occ teams. so i don't cheer for madison, who cares. It doesn't mean i don't give props to occ teams. Lexington should be very good next year, and i think it will be between them and WH for the title.

Is Madison going to struggle that bad that no one wants the job?

That's not giving them props when you pick everyone to beat them, nobody cares if you want Madison, Lexington or orrville to win or not . Yes Madison will struggle big time next year.

Madison lost basically their whole team, nobody wants that job, go to state 3 out of the last 4 years and then lose the whole team,who wants to start with that. Colsflipper no one in the occ cares who you root for except west holmes and you are right Lexington is going to be very good this year. Lexington will win the occ this year and will be very excited to play madison. Cant wait for the season!

i said, i have never cheered or rooted for Madison. Never have, never will. Just because i don't pick them doesn't mean i don't root for other OCC teams in the tournament.

I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch because unfortunately in sports a lot can happen between now and volleyball season. Should they win, yes...will they, maybe, maybe not. In all the years that WH went to state, did they ever win the OCC? NO! Would Madison say they would have rather won the OCC than go to state, NO! It's just a league title. for you lexfan, i hope your lady lex win the OCC so you can have your moment in time and you and your fans are on cloud nine.

BTW, i just feed into this because you guys get worked up. I am a college coach in the midwest and could care less who wins the OCC.

Colsflippervball, I like firing people up to, that's sometimes what's fun on this website. Hey let me know what college team you coach so I make sure I never root for them. LOL. Madison definitely will not be a threat in the conference. Can't wait to see who will step up and take the coaching job.

Thus far rumors are not really any takers yet, they need someone to get open gym and summer schedules taken care of...Madison is going to have a tough year losing that class of seniors and now they don't have a coach yet to get them prepared for the upcoming season.
