Since 1950 Ohio State has gotten the better of Michigan
Woody 16-11-1
Earle 5-4
Coop 2-10-1
Tress 9-1
Fick 0-1
Total 32-27-2
Most Michigan fans who like to say how Michigan has dominated Ohio State and the Big Ten were not alive when that statement was actually true.

^^^ And most Ohio fans pick a year to go from when they can say they have the upper hand. I can do that too. Since Bo took over in '69, Michigan has the upper hand 21-20-2. And since you picked 1950 as the year, well most Ohio fans aren't 61+ years old either, meaning they weren't alive when your statement was actually true. In my lifetime, Michigan has a winning record. And the only record that matters 57-44-6 all-time.

Well... from OSU's website it says that football was a varsity sport begin in 1890... and that was when their first game was played. So they began counting then. It looks like Michigan was an 1879 start and started counting wins then. Why would Michigan or any other school not count their wins from the time the started? Should Rutgers not count their wins? What about Harvard or Yale? Or does everybody need to start over because Georgia State just started a football team? Or do wins only start over when a team moves up from D-1AA to D-1?
If Michigan or any other school shouldn't count games before OSU was a varsity sport then does it also count that OSU shouldn't count any lacrosse wins since before Michigan added varsity lacrosse this year? OSU did have a head start on them, so we'll just wipe the slate clean to put the programs on equal footing.
Can't count games from before "we" were a varisty sport.

I would ask you to know just as much about the team you support then... OSU has also "padded their record" with games against powerhouses like Antioch (1-0), Carlisle Indians (0-1), Case (11-10-2) Muskingum (7-0) the 17th Regiment (1-0) and Camp Sherman (1-0).
OH! and you'd probably be suprised to know that they ALSO played those same juggernauts of Ohio Weslyan (26-2-1) Oberlin (13-10-3) and Otterbein (13-2-3)

Football in 1890 is nothing like football now. In 1890, blacks weren't allowed to play, so are you saying that whites are better than blacks? That may be one of the most racist statements I have ever read.
You can go ahead and enjoy your victories from the 1800's, I'll enjoy the victories that WILL happen in the future and the ones that I've witnessed since being born. Ohio State is a better school than Michigan, I don't know how that feels to be a Michigan fan, but it must blow.

^^^ Actually, quite the contrary, it is awesome being a Michigan fan!!! Michigan has the most wins in the history of college football, best winning percentage, most conference titles, most seasons ranked in the top ten, a winning record vs the SEC, ND & MSU. And best of all, Michigan is 57-44-6 vs. our biggest rival and we as Michigan fans don't have to pick and choose certain years of the rivalry to try and defend ourselves!! GO BLUE !!

WOW! I didn't say anything like that at all... bethere... you know you're as bad as he is right now...
You said to quit counting games from before OSU had football as a varsity sport... all I did was point out that OSU has also been playing football since the 1800's... you picked a year in the mid 1900s to begin the "real time" of football... news for ya chief, blacks weren't allowed to play in the south yet then either. Victories since being born... so that would have been in what year... with the other comments you've made I'm guessing it was in like 1990 or mid 90s since it seems you only remember or maybe only becuse you have "fond" memories of a "tainted" 2000s era of buckeye football.
US News report would disagree with OSU being a better school... UM 28 vs. 55 for OSU. My in-laws are all OSU alums and they would laugh at your comment. I've actually heard them ask why someone went to an OSU graduate program vs UM (the kid was accepted at both) because the UM program was probably better. I told them when you're rankings are "fairly" similar, there can't be all that much different really, but they disagreed. I was very suprised to hear them make that comment.
UM

OSU

Again, you're as bad as bethere with the race card, I know football was different then and I NEVER said anything about any race in any post in this thread OR on this site.

Never mentioned or accused Michigan of padding their record against those teams. You should re-read my post.
My point was that the University of Michigan has never played Ohio, no matter what Brady Hoke seems to think.

The race card is in jest. Sorry that went over your head.
I know Michigan is a great school, but recently its been all Buckeyes and I don't see that ever changing, ever. Enjoy your wins from the 1800's, I'll enjoy the most recent victories that I was alive to witness on HD Tv and will enjoy winning 9 out of 10 years for the rest of my life.

That was OSU's worst season ever and we almost won. We just hired the best coach in the game, that's 7 straight losses for Michigan guaranteed.

OH, but I am that old so I do remember, ok we'll play your game I'll throw out the Cooper era and OSU leads 30-17-1 in my lifetime. I'm not disputing that Michigan leads the series, I was just pointing out the series in what is considered the modern era. (I realize all the games count the same)The next few years will be the interesting years as it looks like (by recruiting) that the B1G may be going back to how it was in the 70's (Big 2 little 8) The rest of the League better get it in gear or Meyer and Hoke will bury them.
