I'm curious as to why everyone says DIII is weak. I'm not from the area.

Elida won AT Defiance last night yet Defiance is #1 over Elida at #2.

Bobby: I'd say it is a close call as to who deserves to be No. 1, but Elida lost three times and I don't think you throw away 19 straight wins because the last couple minutes of one game went the other way. Both of these teams have played tough schedules and are a threat to go all the way to Columbus.

I wouldn't say weak. It's mediocre but not awful, the difference is the other 3 are stacked

NaismithII,

Your basketball polls in all divisions have been fantastic, and I look forward to them because I know they will be fair, impartial, and incredibly accurate. You can always tell when a person is doing a great job with something like this because basketball fans complain all the time about where some pollster has placed their local heroes in the rankings, and it doesn't happen with your polls. Great job all season!!

In D4, since Fort Recovery will go to the Kettering Regional, IMO I would make Kalida the NW region #1 team

What would the rankings look like if you combined all 4 divisions? I wouldn't be surprised if it just went straight down as it is from D1 to D2 and so forth.

Is Whitmer top dog of all divisions? I'm curious to whether any teams from D3 or D4 would compete with the big boys. Seeing as Maumee Valley Country Day is ranked #3 in D4 makes this highly unlikely.

Recovery is still a NW team, DSJ or Crestview could win that district and go to Kettering. Would you make them a SW team?

Recovery played Ridge and lost by 12 even though it was a 6 point game with 1 minute left. So I would say some D3 and D4 teams can compete with the D1 and D2. Depends on the match up. High D3/4 could beat lower to mid D1/2.

Nice job on the rankings. The 1 (Whitmer) and 2 (Norwalk) teams in D1 square off in the regional semis. The 2 (Elida) and 7 (Perkins) made it to the D2 regional. Perkins "upset" number 1 Defiance. 1, 3, 4 made the regionals in D3. Number 1 LCC beat Number 2 Liberty-Benton in the district final. In D4 2-5 made it to regionals with St Henry beating number 1 Fort Recovery. Naismith you know your NW Ohio bball sir

When I do my tournament predictions, I rely on two people -- Naismith and Davey. Naismith has just enough analysis and Davey1 has enough of the schedule/scores to do comparisons.
