No it's not, and even if it was, so what? And the word that you are looking for is "all", not "ole."
Just for my own selfish reasons, if it goes to three days I would like to see two games on Thursday at 3 and 7 so that we don't have to leave home at the crack of dawn, day two at 11, 3, & 7 like it now, and the third day at 11 & 3 so that we can drive home at a decent time.

Still only 4 divisions in basketball though. The OHSAA is a joke.

They have got to do something to close the gap between the mega-schools and everyone else. Anybody got any brighter ideas? I don't like the idea of a reduced field for one particular division, but other than going to 10 divisions, where are you going to go to even this up?

So you have a 50% chance to get into the playoffs if you're a DI school and a roughly 30% chance to get into the playoffs in other divisions. Hardly seems fair lol.

Give everyone a darn trophy so its "fair" whawhawhawha....
I believe Texas has a "Super" Division also... But only 6 total..
There has been talk about how water down the playoffs are anyhow. Make the D-1 a super 64 or what ever then divid the rest into 5 division.. & stop all the crying about being "fair"

No, it just makes sense to give everyone an equal chance to get into the playoffs, regardless of school size. You shouldn't get a positive handicap just because they're a larger school. If they only have 64 teams, there should only be 16 playoff spots.

ok, Ill give ya the 16 playoff spots..
Or just leave it the way its is... Even though Im in favor of the "Top 32 in points" model for each division for playoffs instead of the 4 regions. But thats a diff topic..

Something had to be done based on the size of the top D1 school to the bottom. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it works out.
The top D1 division will be made up with scholls from, CLeveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and maybe a few from Toledo.

I have often comtemplated this issue. Looked at it from all angles. Have weighted all the pro's and con's. My conclusion, (whether anyone really cares) is go for it, create another division.
Reason being....The large disparity in the D1 division. The freshman team for Iggy will have 125 players, where as, say, Massillon Washington freshman team will have 30. There is a imbalance.
Moreover, This will allow more players, coaches, fans, to participate in the playoff experience. To, feel the sensations of a playoff run. To, contribute to building a legacy.
Furthermore, This will give hundreds of players, coaches, staff more playing time. The football season is so regulated that playing time in limited. Most states allow football year round. Ohio is crippled by a limited season. This law would (open the door) for many. The added, press coverage, will give players more attention.
Again, Money...I see this adding at least 250k to the OHSAA and schools.
Conclusion....therefore, it is clearly a tragedy, to deny the existence of another division. As, so, eloquently and unequivocally stated in my deduction. LOL..teasing

IF another division is to be created, the OHSAA is dead-on.I pity the bottom 50 % of DI in football----chances at state competition are nil & none. The top 50 % can afford to travel--and do.Possible side effect : D2 and D3 will lose out on attendence at state

Every basketball team is in the tournament, in football only about 25%.

Not at all. We've gone to the state finals for 15 years and I prefer they stay where they are. LOL
