Smile Who Are the Leading Candidates for Miss Basketball of Ohio for This Season? - 03-04-2011, 01:09 PM

Haven't heard ANYONE mentioned, and this is ALREADY the District Champion-ship Week-end! (Usually we hear from SOMEONE on this about half-way through the regular season.)

Let's hear from my Fellow Huddlers on this!

If you are going to noominate someone, give us the reason and stats to back that up. IMO Clyde doesn't have a tough enough schedule during the regular season to suggest someone yet. If they get to where they are playing some pretty stiff competition and Kaylea is playing well then yes.

I live in the Columbus area, but feel any discussion of this subject has to start (and maybe stop) with Ameryst Alston (sp?) of Canton McKinley. Just an amazing multi-talented player on the court.

Isn't co-Miss Basketballs the norm now?

No...that's co-MVP's in each division.

To figure who is going to be Miss Basketball you need to see who the POY candidates were from each district. A few of those will be POY in the state. Out of those names, Miss Basketball will be selected.

So unless a girl has been selected Player of the Year in the District, don't even mention her a a candidate.

Alston is obviously a top candidate and malina Howard of twinsburg. I'd also have to throw Kelsey Mitchell of undefeated and third ranked Cincinnati Princeton in there who's averaging a cool 20 pts 4 rebs4 sat's and 3 steals as a FRESHMAN!!! anyone who was at the classic in the country knows very Well who this young lady is...
