Goose- Marlington is 13-0 for a reason. Its not smoke and mirrors. Every week they game plan and prepare to exploit the weaknesses of their opponent and out execute them, and every week they have done exactly that.

I am not a big fan of this reasoning, but it must mean something that Marlington completely took apart a Poland team that Buchtel barely got by.

I am not saying that Marlington will win, but I have watched them play 13 games, and I dont believe there is a D3 team that can blow them out. I'd be glad to take Marlington and 21 and accept a bet of any amount since your prediction on the other thread is 35-14 Buchtel.

I was impressed with Marlington when we played them in the opening round of the '09 playoffs. And they were a junior-led bunch. So I knew they would be good this season. Just like I know Dover will be very good again next year with that QB to build around.

Marlington was a good team, I never said they weren't, but they were probably the 3rd best team we faced this year behind Ashland and Steubenville. I dont bet money on high school sporting events, but I'll be surprised if its a close game vs. Buchtel. I mean you had trouble running the ball on Dover. Hill averaged less than 4 yards a carry. Without a couple long runs on broken plays, Harris's avg was low too. I mean Sheridan and Steubenville BOTH had way better running games bc they had way better Olines, but your QB proved to be the difference. I give him credit. If you remember, my first comment on the Dover/Marlington game I said that Marlington would have to throw the ball to beat us. Congrats, you did it and I give your QB credit for playing a good game.

They had so much trouble running the ball they only gained 270 yards on the ground. I'll take it. Long runs broken plays are part of the game. Don't give them up. I give Dover's defense credit though it was a good game plan they just weren't the better team. You'll never give Marlington credit for the the win, lets face it, and I'll look forward to seeing Dover again next year in the playoffs.
