St. Ignatius v Don Bosco -- week 5 in Steubenville -
08-05-2010, 04:40 PM
I know it is a bit premature to start talking about this game since the season hasn't even started, but we people in Steubenville are talking about it. The Iggy-Bosco game will be the first of a triple header in what we call Rally in Death Valley. The Iggy game will start at noon. At 3:30 Steubenville will play WV powerhouse Morgantown. Both Steubenville Big Red and Morgantown have won two state championships each in the past six years. The third game will be between Wheeling Central, a team that often wins the WV small school championship, and Bridgeport.
All I can say for sure about the Ignatius game is that there will be a big crowd. The stadium holds 10,000 and will probably be full. We have one of the finest stadiums in the state, and I'm sure the Iggy and Bosco fans will be very pleased with the treatment they receive.
