Default Claymont Basketball Head Coach - 06-11-2012, 07:12 AM

Saw where boys coach resigned to take another job elsewhere.Any names circulating yet as potential candidates? Are there any in-house candidates that would be considered or that would want to move up to head coach? Administration will probably want to move quick since we are into summer already.

The only problem with taking Claymont job is.......WRESTLING! too bad these 2 sports are played in the same season.

Why is wrestling a problem? They have had good hoops teams over the years along with great wrestling.I think they have been proven to be able to co-exist with one another. And its not like wrestling takes any of the good basketball talent. Just my opinion.

How about that old Spinell guy at Minerva? His name is already on the gym wall.

JLG, The only thing Spinell knows is what he learned from your assistant. From what I have heard he is pretty happy where he is at.

If you are talking about Jeremy Ady who played at dover and then muskingum college, he was a good player but i didnt know he got into coaching. What levels did he coach? It will be interesting to see who gets this job.I have followed Tuscarawas County basketball for years as a neutral fan and it seems as if Claymont has had a lot of boys basketball coaches over the years.

J Addy will be a fantastic coach. A great fit for Claymont with his style and attitude. Should be a perfect fit!

First of all his name is spelled ADY.Second of all, maybe they will have a new coach hired by August which means no summer program at all.

^^^ That would work well for Ady as he is busy at Eastern Ohio the month of June and doesn't contribute to the the Coshocton program during the summer.

Thats interesting.Would he be totally committed to his program in the summer if he ever becomes a head coach? You would have to put your team and program first above all else i would think.

Doak would be a good choice i think.Forgot about him.Have seen him coach over the years and liked his style.Always thought his teams played hard and were well coached. But who knows what they are thinking!

Where is Dave Potopsky now-a-days? Is his wife still a teacher at Claymont?
