Thumbs up River Bandit Fall Baseball (NW Ohio) - 06-04-2012, 10:35 PM

This fall baseball camp will enable high school
players to prepare for their upcoming season.
The camp is open to all players that will have high
school eligibility in the spring of 2013 (also eighth
graders). We will utilize baseball fields at various
sites in northwest Ohio. PLAY WILL BE ON
SUNDAYS ONLY BEGINNING AT 1 P.M. Doubleheaders
will begin on Sunday, Aug. 26 and will
continue each Sunday through Sept. 30. The premier
players in the camp will be invited back
for an additional two weeks of All-Star competition
in front of college coaches and scouts
(at Adrian College and Miami University).

To get a registration form, go to www.riverbanditbaseball.com and click the handout section. Don't delay as we sell out each year. If you have questions after reviewing the registration form, contact Randy Bachman at randy.j.bachman@gmail.com

As somebody who has had 2 sons play in this league, let me tell you it is very good baseball and the talent level is superb every year. Great experience for anybody's son who is serious about baseball.

Just a little suggestion for those who do indeed intend to play fall ball, and for the parents as well.

Talk to your spring coach about the things you need to work on, and then do it during fall ball. I have been around enough fall ball and see too many kids just playing like they normall do and not working on what they need.

If you are a pitcher and need to work on your move, throw it over more and work on it. If you need to work on your change, throw it more often in these fall ball games even in situations where you may not normally do it.

If you have speed but get bad jumps off of pitchers, steal and work on those jumps.

that is what fall ball is for. Working on the things you are deficient in and not wanting to do that when the games count in the spring/summer.
