So the Congress in their great wisdom decided, if we are to cut taxes let reduce SS by 2%. This will only bring SS to an end sooner.

Isn't that wonderful? They are going to means-test social security at some point -- thanking those of us that have saved every nickle we possibly can for being responsible, while using our contributions to fund those that haven't. Yes, rob Peter to pay Paul again. It's mind boggling to me.

They don't care about the debt or SS. Just look at the current budget, it is all about them and short term gain of getting elected. At the current pace with 50% not paying taxes and voting for those that will give them something free, we will be like Greece in a 5 years.

I do agree with the POTUS about paying the "FAIR SHARE", but it must be ALL OF THE USA citizens...that is one of the points he does not want to address (it will cost him votes) and we stop spending what we don't have to cover those that don't pay!

Aaaaaah, Wisdome, but that's the rub. He really doesn't want EVERYBODY to pay their fair share, now, does he. That's really code in liberal-speak for taxing the rich. And by rich, they really mean anybody making more than the person making the statement. This is class warfare in its rawest forms. This is campaigning in its vilest forms -- the haves versus the have-nots. Promise to give goodies and pledge to tax "them" not "you". It's sad. It's sad because it'll likely work, won't solve the problems of this country and will not help the poor elevate their status or well-being.
