Jason Wright is going to have a get together that Sat. night at his house. just a little place to hang out. He lives in Oak Hill.
All ARE invited!!
I can't wait for the game. Get the tarp out. we are playing this year. I want a piece of this years team.

If we come as part of the 'open to the public' group for the golf outing, can we request to be paired with a current player or two that we know... thanks...

Taimurihitto13, I would say so. Ask the current player to ask Coach Warnimont or email him at bradw@mail.rio.edu

Will Jason Wright have a place to sit this year? Is his house done, heck for going to the Regionals this past baseball season with Jackson, he should have gotten a bonus.

rioerrorrcd

yeah, we have electricity also.
Sit? Oh never mind, I know why you sit!!

Is that Father Time? we are suppose to scrimmage them.

I am kind of hanging low on this golf thing. I hope it doesn't turn out like last year with only 4 teams. Hopefully there is a good turnout.

Why? do you want me to play with your group?
Saveman needs to get it into gear!! Maybe he will come to the party at my house that night. However, if he does he could probably only stay for a 1/2 hour or so!!

pumped. Nah!! it will be fun to see the guys and raz the younger team. This will be an experience for some of the younger players that have never been around us.

on a side note, Just letting Jason Williams know I am thinking about him while he goes back to Cal. for his loss of his grandpa. it's tough to be away from family. Have a safe trip.

Another side note : Alumni, friends, whomever, party at my house on Sat. beginning at 7.

We're going to wait until the season rolls around and then see what kind of shape it's in. It depends on what Doc says and how I feel. I talked to coach today and he said that we'll decide on the redshirt when the time comes.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jason Williams also. Jason is a good kid and I wish him luck.

Rioerrorrcd, I appreciate the invite, however my baby is due anytime around the 8th so I doubt I'll be there. Good luck against the new team.

HotCorner24, glad to hear about your elbow. Hope to see you at the hotcorner and 2 hole this year.

How did the Alumni game go?? Hated to miss it. Who won????????????

silverknight4li
10-06-2003, 07:43 AM
The Team beat us twice. We gave them a game in the first one but age and sore body parts took over in the second game. Alumni Players of the game were: Ed Yates, at age ?? was still ready to play and played 3 positions, Jason Wright Can still roll out of bed and hit, Chris "Tank" Curtis, big Rip in the first game gave us the lead for 20 minutes, and Jake Sperry, for catching 9 of the 14 innings. Hay HotCorner, tell you freshmen catcher from Parkersburgh, that the Steelers really gave the Brown a game last night. Good Luck the The Redmen on the upcoming season.

rioerrorrcd
10-06-2003, 08:22 AM
hey silverknight, did you have any hits?
explain the hit to right but really wasn't a hit? classic!! LOL!! I almost fell on the dugout floor laughing so hard.

silverknight4li
10-06-2003, 08:45 AM
How many errors did you make? What about the time you did not score from 3rd base because you had to many hotdogs in between games and could not run. That was the turning point of the 2nd game. I did not have any hits but I did not strike out. I did hit the ball to right field, got cocky, bat flipped, and got thrown out. I forgot the bases were longer that the bases in softball. This should be a lesson for all, run everything out and don't be cocky ;) lol. Errorman, by the way you had 4 errors to go to your total. We better watch out because, The Bawler might get mad because this is an open forum, and were are talking on an open forum.

rioerrorrcd
10-06-2003, 08:58 AM
I can't bend over any more. more mental errors then physical errors.
my running around the bases the first game knocked me out of the rest of the day. boy, those hotdogs were good!! my running in for another score would have made it 19-4. that was not much of a turning point. we didn't strike out much as a team. we just hit it to the hoover vacuum at shortstop. that kid is going to be a player.

Too bad for Herbs team,... he was so pumped!

I think a little too pumped. ask him about the stain on his pants!! LOL!! BEES everywhere!! LOL!!

He played 1st base.

silverknight4li
10-06-2003, 11:14 AM
No Gheen did not push me out of the cart, I slipped Twice coming off the evelated tee box. Yes, the Bees were bad, got stung twice, but gamed it up and was a Rock Star. Our team was -5 under, as well.

Next year we need a team that actually graduated from Rio, and another team that allowed players to play one year then transfer to Shawnee State.
Does Jake get to play in the Shawnee Alumni game?
