How many practice balls do you order per year?
How many game balls do you order per year?
What is the life expectancy of a basketball?

We usually order about 5-to-10 each year but that's only because we already have plenty. Ordering new balls usually is not a problem

As long as we do not allow the students to dribble the ball off court (on roads or dirt surfaces) the balls last indefinitely

I'm confused ... not being a smart ...

If you have plenty, why do you order 5-10?

if they last indefinitely, why do you order 5-10 a year?

Over a ten year period you would have 50-100 balls. Where are they stored?

Those balls don't last, especially if they are getting used consistantly. A good basketball will last around 3 to 5 years. At camps and other sporting events, many people usually give them away or you know kids these days, take them by accident. Ohiome is right, you might order 5 to 10 per year. Top notch aau coaches borrow high schools basketballs or if their program is up to par, or depends on how big the organization is, order about 5 balls per season. I hope that helps you

They won't last more than a year if you have the Rawlings balls the state is using. These balls get baldges and popped seams and they could be only a month old when this happens.

What is a baldge? Sounds contagious.

Typically, you get what you pay for. YOu spend a little more, and a ball will last 3 - 5 years, you go cheap, your buying balls every year. Probably a good idea to buy 2-3 good game balls per season, then rotate them into your practice stock. Balls seem to get lopsided easy too.
