So if Vermilion opts out, I wonder if Galion will reconsider joining the MOAC since rejecting the NOL's recent re-entry offer was based on potential trips to Vermilion?

the Vermilion School Board approved withdrawal from the Northern Ohio League at their meeting on Monday night. Our district is committed to the WSC for the 2012-2013 school year and will continue to talk with them about options beyond next year.

What the West Shore should do is tell Vermilion to take a hike and let them experience life as an independent. That seems to be a school district that doesn't know if its coming or going at the moment.

They should try to get in the SBC.

They should try to get in the SBC.

Who are the taking with them and/or which two teams are leaving the SBC?

Still don't understand this, although I do know about some of the behind-the-scenes info.

Regardless, bad move to withdraw from one league, without assurances you'll be accepted by another, i.e. the Patriot Athletic Conference.

I do know that Vermilion will play Norwalk in football in 2013, and I believe they're playing Willard as well.

To be honest, this is one of the more bizarre things I've seen in local high school sports.

Vermilion has re-applied to their current home (West Shore Conference) which they withdrew from to become a member of the NOL. After their acceptance into the NOL they were approached by the PAC and questioned on why they joined the NOL when the PAC was meeting to vote for expansion and they would be extended an offer to join. After hearing this the "brain trust" at Vermilion goes back to the NOL and says oopsy NOL our bad, we have decided to withdraw from the NOL. The NOL accepts their decision. The PAC principals get together for the expansion vote and THEY TURN IT DOWN. Oopsy number two by Vermilion's "brain trust". Vermilion's "brain trust" goes back to the West Shore Conference and tells them, our bad, can we come back? The Vermilion "brain trust" awaits the WSC's decision.

Question: what conference would be interested in this train wreck?

Toledo city league. That's their specialty, train wrecks.
