Wyatt Running is listed as a jr. he will be a senior. He and Wolf rushed for over 2500 yards last year. The other 1000 yard back is transfering for the 4th or 5th time, this time to Washington CH. To be honest, replacing him with Curtsinger and Daugherty in the backfield will make the offense more explosive and balanced. Both can catch the ball, plus Daugherty is quicker and Curtsinger while a step slower is more elusive and sees the field better. Look for this offense to put up 60+ on everyone on their schedule, except JA which should be its typical slugfest with someone winning by 1 or 2. The defense with 7 returning starters, including D1 recruit Trent Smart, Curtsinger (led the state with 9 interceptions), Brogan and Daugherty at safeties, Bayle Wolf at LB, will be tough to score on. Look for an Alter style D with 11 LBer types flying to the ball.
AJ Avery, OL and Dylan Rose, WR are also returning starters not listed, both will be JRs. Massie will have 15 returning starters, losing six to graduation and 1 to transfer. They are looking to build on last years final four performance and make the trip to Canton.
