As a wolverine fan I am excited at this start for the 2013 class. I just hope we see all the signatures on signing day a little less than a year from now. And of course I will have to read about how Urban will flip all of them by next yr! Oh well we shall see next Feb. GO BLUE!!!

What I am loving about this class, is how excited these young men seem to go want to go to Michigan. Also, the commits lead by Shane Morris and Dymonte Thomas seem like a very, very tight knit bunch. Finally some excitement is back in the program after the 3 years of disaster by Rich Rod!!

Very good start for Hoke to this class. Especially the OL haul, I for one believe Thomas will stay with TSUN.. But who knows! The whole flipping recruits thing will not happen nearly as much, the only reason it happened this year was Urb and Co. had 3 months to talk to kids that were most likely going to be OSU commits without all of the trouble in the program. Also helped with the Sandusky BS.

Ty Issac has some family in south east Michigan. You would think that all of these O lineman the last 2 years would make UM look pretty good. I have also heard ND is out with him.

If you don't care, fine. Don't click on the thread. Pretty simple. Maybe now I remember why the huddle started charging to be a member.

OH LB Mike McCary is set to announce March 8th. Michigan seems to be the leader. OSU has not offered him. There is concern he could flip if offered. Maybe using this announcement as leverage to get an OSU offer.

It is shaping up to be a monster class for Michigan. McCary would be a huge get for Michigan. Land Treadwell, Isaac and a few linebackers and we are in business. I love how Shane Morris is recruiting like crazy and all the guys are taking to twitter and facebook working who they can. The rivalry is going to be interesting again.

I do think MSU, PSU, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin are going to end up with more second tier talent than they have enjoyed the past few seasons. OSU and Michigan seem to be snapping up all the very high end talent.

Where did you hear ND is out with him? I am pretty sure he is visiting ND this weekend and Michigan next weeked. If ND is out, that is great news because they were one we were really fighting against for his services. GO BLUE !!

Cameron Burrows 5* (Ohio State)

As for Michigan s class so far...it's very impressive and anynoe saying otherwise just isn't being realistic. Will be interesting to see Urban play catch up again this year.

DB Conly (Sp?) Massilion might be next...

Ty Isaac will be in AA this Saturday (March 10) for a visit..

Braylon Edwards is mad because Michigan isn't recruiting his little brother. Funny thing is, his brother is probably Mac level material.

It is Conley I believe. Heard nothing but great things about him. Great cover skills and size, makes me wonder why he only has a 3* rating.

Yeah, I think if we wouldn't have gotten Northfleet in the last class, Michigan would be on him harder. Basically same size and skill set, though Northfleet was ranked higher. Plus having a smaller class this year (as of now), isn't helping his situation with Michigan because of the limited schollies. Maybe he'll get an offer late in the process, but the roll that Hoke and Co. are on, I doubt we have extra scholarships at the end of this recruiting cycle to fill.

GO BLUE!!!

I agree, he is my #1 want for this team. We need an elite RB to go along with the great OL hauls from '12(signed) & '13(commited).

4* Gareon Conley to Michigan.

So much for that rumor that Urb's was going to lock down Ohio. If anything he's opened up the floodgates.

For some of us Michigan fans, expect 2 ore commits in the next 3-4 weeks..
Smith from warren howland or Ty Isacc might pull the trigger.. Isaac had a great visit this past weekend & Smith sopposed to be in AA this comming weekend.. So one of those 2 will be Blue I believe...
O' Daniel(LB) & Fuller(DB) both from VA might be in AA in 2-3 weeks
Then there is Ben Gedeon LB from Hudson. He might pull the trigger also on Michigan or OSU..
The LB & RB watch is on for the next 3-4 weeks..
Then there is Levenberry (LB) also which Michigan is very high on..

Have to wait & see ... Go Blue!!!!!!!!!!1

Some are saying Isaac wants to be the only true RB in this class (so not including (Shallman). But if he doesn't commit before this weekend, I expect Smith to.

ace... Man another great post. Keep up the good work there buddy. Does your mom cook your hot pockets for you, and bring them down to the basement with your yoo-hoo? Or are you old enough to use the microwave by yourself?

ps...it's spelled athlete. Do they teach spelling at your Ohio school? Or football only?

Yes, congrats. Michigan HS football is not great. But we are talking about College football. Not really going to make us Michigan fans feel bad about getting guys from Ohio where HS football is very good just because they are from Ohio and not Michigan HS's. If anything, it actually makes us feel better when a kid from Ohio has success at the University of Michigan, especially vs. a certain team at the end of November. Guys like Charles Woodson and Desmond Howard come to mind. HELLO HEISMAN!! GO BLUE!!

Now that Smith is committed, I am really hoping for Ty Isaac to commit. His homerun ability would be a perfect fit to go with Smith's power. These two backs with the OL kids coming in could be a lot of fun to watch in the future!!

IMO there will be only 2 RB signee's come Feb... If Isaac is one of them, Smith or Shallman will not.. I hope Im wrong. But with #'s crunchin.. The need for DT's is HUGE.. Somethiing will give.. Unless Shallman is told that he might be moved to H-back/TE if he doesnt land in the RB's depth chart..

I hear this about Shallman, but don't see him as a RB at all. I see him as a FB which is also a big position of need as Michigan transitions more towards a pro-style "I". I hope one of them isn't lost, but I would much, MUCH rather have Isaac and Smith as RB's over Shallman. But, I am merely a fan and my opinion matters little, and whatever Coach Hoke and the staff decides, I will be more than happy to support. GO BLUE!!

Hoke does a helluva job recruiting, even as a Buckeye fan I have to give him that. As for Ohio kids going to Michigan, OSU can't and doesn't try to sign all the great football talent in the state, kids have to go where they feel they fit in best and can get playing time sooner as well as winning a championship. I see the rivalry getting back to the way it was in the 70's with Meyer and Hoke as head coaches.

OLpride

^^^ good points BD6372 and nice to read a level headed OSU fan. As for Hoke and his ability to get some Ohio kids, I also think that the fact that he started recruiting them a lot earlier than Urban is playing a huge factor into this. Michigan was the first to offer (between Michigan and OSU) Gedeon, Thomas, Butt, Smith and a few more. In fact, I think Michigan was the firts to offer Gedeon overall. It will be interesting to see if the trend continues going forward now that Urban and his staff are in place and can begin to evaluate and offer the '14 kids, which they weren't able to do until later with the '13 kids.

I think Hoke is called a 'great' coach by WAY too many. What has he done in the big picture to deserve being called a 'great' coach? Comparing Hoke to Meyer in the same breath, is.........laughable.

And I stick with that statement, he has done a "great" job recruiting. I don't think saying he is good for the rivalry is an unfair statement to make and I didn't compare him to Urban, again I don't have to time will do that for us.
