MSU is kind of tough to get a read on because they haven't played anyone with a pulse yet except ND. MSU did not look good against ND either. Would like to see the passing game get better this week and OSU is going to need it for the upcoming games. Need to get Braxton some more confidence in his ability to throw the ball. OSU is a 3-3.5 favorite according to Vegas. I think this is going to be a close game with OSU pulling it out late.
OSU needs to win this game because they have Nebraska, Illinois and Wisconsin coming up. They lose this game and they could be a 5 loss football team before we get out of October.
Thoughts on the game?

I think that the Bucks can win. No game will be particularly easy for them but I believe that their team will grow and become a very respectable team during this difficult transition year. I am looking at an 8-4/9-3 year and who knows? There is a pretty impressive tradition of excellence in Columbus and sometimes the jersey wins a game or two. We just have to "keep the faith" this season.

OSU will win by 10 because Sparty will be Sparty and turn the ball over a few too many times. Including a pick 6 that will give osu a 10 point lead late in the fourth

Jgord you hit this one on the nose. Game could go either way depending on how Miller can throw. Our running game will do ok, but I have a feeling Mich St will be able to shut it down in the second half and we will need to pass the ball. I am not particularly impressed with Mich St either, but they have the tools to play well... they are just inconsistent. Our d-line will strongly determine this game... if we can constain Mich St running reasonably we have a good shot at winning this game.
Any words on Williams or Brown playing in this game? We could really use both... d-line and WR are going to be critical.

Evan as a Buckeye fan I would take MSU and the 3-3.5 points. I don't think OSU can stop the Run yet, and MSU's defense will prove too much for BM and the Buckeyes...I hope I'm wrong, just don't have a good feeling.

Addbay, I agree, would take the points if one is into that type thing! Its really a toss up.
Bar, I really believe MSU is going to stack the box and force Miller to throw. I honestly think this game depends on whether or not Miller can pass the ball. Now that a team has Miller on tape they can game plan for him and just load up the box, play one on one on the outside. I am not saying Miller has to throw for 400 yards but he probably needs 150-200 for OSU to win as I think MSU is going to try and shut down the run all together. Probably going to see a lot of 3 and outs in this game.

If our defensive backs decide to actually catch easy interceptions...we win this game. If they drop them and then continue to give up huge 3rd down conversions then we lose.

I do agree with that. The thing OSU has going for them is Miller is one more week more confident (i hope), so even having him on film it is very limited to showing his abilities. I think you right on with the passing as well.. 150-200 is prob what is needed. But OSU will still need to rush for atleast 100 yds as well, which I think we can do. The line has looked good and hall just needs to keep hitting the holes hard.
I am hoping that Stoneburner will get back in the mix of things, but we need a WR to demand some attention for him to be more effective. hope Brown is back, but I am guessing he wont be.
The biggest thing, besides winning, is seeing Miller progress. If he progresses then we still have a shot at a decent year even if we lose. I think people are underestimating how big a difference this team will be with Herron, Posey, and Adams back. But there wont be a change if our QB is progressing.
