Briggs came out strong with the opening drive and drove straight down the field and went up 6-0. Clear Fork answered back with two td's to make it 13-6 at the half. Clear Fork's opening drive of the second half was impressive and they took control of the game going up 20-6 in the third. Briggs rallied in the fourth and while going into the endzone fumbled and recovered by Clear Fork as a touchback. Briggs gets the ball back and has another impressive drive and punches it in to make it 20-13 with 2 minutes and change to go in the game. Onside attampt failed and Clearfork gets the ball back. After being stuffed two straight plays, on 3rd and 10 with a minute to go the QB for Clear Fork mishandles the snap and somehow picks it up and eludes Briggs tacklers and makes an impressive run to pick up the first down. Very next play with 47 seconds to go Clear Fork seals the deal with a nice run of around 35-40 yards by their tailback. 27-12 final. Briggs had 3 or 4 fumbles lost and CF had 2 or 3 of their own. If Briggs could have protected the ball better this may have turned out different. But then again, if my aunt had...nevermind you know that story. Congrats to Clear Fork on a good game. They earned it.
