I do think the 'Burg takes this one. Buddy will have the boys better prepared than they have been in years past. Also, Jerome will be down a notch, IMHO. The Celts will go as far as the Wilson Bros can carry them. New line, New QB. Tough night for Jerome I think.

I'll add that the series is Jerome 4 to 1.
The Raiders last win was 2006.
The score in the last four ('07 to '10) has been 109 to 6 (combined).
2007 Jerome 37-0
2008 Jerome 28-0
2009 Jerome 16-6
2010 Jerome 28-0

Great stats Boss. As I have heard Buddy say many times "We just want to be competitive with them to show progress in the program". Now I see why he says that. Reynoldsburg will not be flying under the radar for long. Those who know what is going on over there knows why I say that.

You are joking, Right? Even with a new line, Jerome WINs and WIns Big!!! Look at the history. Celts have owned the fighting tomatoes and this will continue............see yeah friday night. 21 - 0. Saw the Burgs offense not much better than last year. They can't play strong "D" all night long. Move the series to 1 & 5 series.

Alright, dude. You can't edit quotes, so you're locked in now. We'll come back Saturday morning to discuss this after the fact.

Not really sure where the Reynoldsburg confidence is coming from? I know they have change with the coaching staff, but their head coach has been a freshman coach for the past 5-6 years.. I think its good for the raiders to be excited but i wouldn't go getting to excited.. seems to be the trend every year. Not trying to be negative but at the beginning of every year there is all the Reynoldsburg fans excited because its a new year. Reynoldsburgs' last head coach had success and made the playoffs at other schools but couldnt do it in the burg. Pusateri had many years at reynoldsburg and only made the playoffs one time. He also won a state championship at Desales. Then Hudacovic came in who had won a state championship at Canton Mckinley. I think he had maybe 4 wins in his career at the burg. Reynoldsburg fans will say they have "always had the athletes" but they never have good coaching to compliment their good athletes.. I just hope these Raider fans will still be supportive of Coach White if the season is not as picture perfect as they want it to be. In my honest opinion if Reynoldsburg has 3-4 wins this season, it will be a successful season and something for them to build off of for the next year.
Anyways does anyone know what offense the Raiders are running this year?

run n shoot - They run a Wing T - favorite play is a toss sweep to the man in motion - pull the near side guard block down with the tackle and TE. Second is a little inside trap to the fullback (big kid, runs hard). They have receivers who are athletes, but had trouble catching the ball.
Defense was stout - but conditioning seemed to be an issue - depth is not there yet IMO.

First off the fighting tomato line was funny as he!!. Second the Raiders defense will be formidable and you will find out what discipline can do for a team. This coach puts the best players on the field. The speed of the D is nice! The offense will surprise you also with speed! See you on Friday and hear from you on Saturday!

I think the conditioning issue has been addressed. I was shocked to see olentangy orange with the athletic qb get shut down like that!

Sandman, that Orange QB was limping most of the night from what I saw, he isnt as athletic as he appears to be.

They need to isolate that HUGE TE/WR they have and dump it to him until they stop it, that will certainly open up the run for them.

Actually he is pretty athletic but he did get banged up. Plus, let's not forget that the starting RB touched the ball about 3 times with one of them being a TD. I give Reynoldsburg credit and I think they are on the right track. I wouldn't take them lightly and I'm interested to see how this one turns out. The Raiders have a very tough schedule ahead so this would be a step in the right direction!

Hey if you watched the film the time the running back broke for that big run the cornerback was mugged by the wide receiver. But anyway it was smart for the Orange coach to get him out of there before he got banged up!

It was reported to me that the 'Burg was up 21-14 in the 3rd. I believe the Raiders' QB had a pair of long TD passes (someone can correct me, but this is what I was told via text) and that Donovan Wilson was racking up some yards oon the ground for the Celts.

Well kwepvn looks like the fighting tomatoes splattered all on Dublin Jerome! 31-14 man that was a beat down! What's your insight? Number 56 is a beast! Number 32 is a beast! Number 10 is a beast! Wow it was a great game! Dublin's number 5 will be going to Iowa with a headache because he got his bell rung by Reynoldsburg # 3! What ya think now on that thrashing?

Was very impressed with the Raiders tonight. They did not fold after the early Cam Wilson TD. I thought they did a god job of shutting him down after that. Seems to be a new attitude at Reynoldsburg (the dancing on the logo at the start of the 2nd half was unnecessary and I was glad to see Coach White rip them a new one).
Traylor Bennett is one heck of a receiver and Aekins did a great job of getting him the ball. The long TD pass was a thing of beauty. Kumar Collins is a beast of a RB.
Could be a fun year for the Raiders. IMO getting to 5-5 would be a huge accomplishment this season for Coach White's first year.

I'm hoping if they ever did something that classless and idiotic that Buddy would suspend whoever did it for at least one game. Jerome has always been hospitable hosts and classy in victory in each game of the 4-year string of domination that preceding this game.
Although I am a Dublin guy, I was actually rooting for the 'Burg in this one because I'd like to see Buddy turn that program around for the good of the kids and the community.

Sandman-
I don't see how 5-5 is out of the realm of possibility. They could very well be 3-0 with their next two games being Findlay and Logan. Then the meet grinder OCC Ohio starts. Newark is a win imo, which gives them 4, then if they could get a win over either Groveport, or Grove City, is not out of the question.

Walking before I start I like to say what I say is purely for entertainment and kind hearted ribbing! Hey during that dancing on you guys logo I did see some Reynoldsburg players like# 56 and #3 go up to their teammates and try to physically move them off the logo. You have to remember these are kids that been involved with losing to Jerome for 4 years straight and they finally felt as though they could win this game. Their action was quite juvenile but that's exactly what they are juveniles. But as you saw Coach White let them have it and that is part of being a discipline guided coach. That will not happen again and i can say that with confidence. So the wins that Jerome did get were over some undisciplined individuals and now you can start to see how now the discipline is working with this team. Reynoldsburg has had a long long long long string of non disciplining coaching.

I'm not condoning the dance on the logo but it was my understanding that they were "returning the favor" because the Jerome players danced all over the Raider head at mid-field in the 'Burg last year. It also didn't help that the 'Burg players knew that Jerome wanted them off their schedule because apparently they don't get enough points for beating the 'Burg.

Sandman: I'm assuming you are not close enough to the Jerome program to know what discipline was or wasn't meted after the game. What were the numbers of the Jerome players last year (since you viewed the video)?

How down is the Celts Boss?
Lites: Very. It is basically the Cam and Don show 100%. Last year they did most of the yardage and scores, but they had a senior line and a very effective QB in Gannon.
This Jerome team is very green in most spots and especially on the O & D lines. I had predicted before the season that this might be a 2-8 or 3-7 type season for the Celts. Westerville North is the only sure 'W' on their schedule IMO.

Sorry I had to eat crow last weekend. Ok, so the Tomatoes fought last friday and hurt my predictions. They will, however, get slice and diced this evening in Findley Ohio. Until they Beat Central Ohio's Best they are just another team fighting for third thru last place. Oh, I like tomatoes too.
