Corey Joe rushes for 200 yds. and throws for 200 yds. He can't be stopped.

Defense: Even ignoring, for the moment, the natural rivalry, school split, and victory bell fiasco, this one is a big, big game for both squads. Both have the talent to compete for a 5-8 slot week 11 in R3, IMO. However, at the same time, both will find it extreme challenging to escape their conference slates with fewer than two losses, that means the loser week one is probably looking at 7-3 tops. All else being equal, I would say that the Braves need this game a little more, but Orange has Liberty the following week.

I like the Schoen kid from Orange. Good speed, can do lots of things. Perry is a freak. Will be interesting to see how much time he spends on the offensive side of the ball. Haven't made up my mind who I'm going with just yet. Be back in a few days........

Wish both Joe's were still out there! But since that isn't an option, it's going to be up to others to step up and be the playmakers I know they can be!

After watching both teams this summer I believe them to be very evenly matched. I expect a great defensive game by both teams. I think it will come down, as it so often does to turnovers, special teams and mistakes/penalties. A pick-em game for sure. Good Luck to both teams - play hard - stay healthy.

I am really excited for this game - I have a picture of my son standing next to Coach T in 5th or 6th grade as a water-boy for his older brothers (09) team. This will be the first Friday Night that he lines up on the other side of the field to hear the BRAVESSS at the end of the national anthem from a different perspective. I miss that... at Orange. His older brother will be home from college to watch his little brother play his old team. Grandma and Grandpa have traded in their Blue and Gold for Orange and Blue. I will get the privilege of watching kids on both sides of the ball, who I have known and coached over the years play this great game.

How did Olentangy do in their scrimmage with Eastmoor?

Really? That is surprising? How are they down? The numbers or the talent?

The cramping was a huge problem for Orange tonight and in my opionion cost them the game. Schoen had a huge 1st half but missed the entire 2nd half due to cramps. Need to get this under control

Olentangy is one of the 5 largest school systems in Ohio so there is obviously a large population base in the school district and with two of the three high schools playing each other in the opener plus great weather, why not 7000 plus fans?

Fallen Timbers - I would have to say that there were that many there. It was a great atmosphere for high school football. Folks were 3-4 deep along the fence on the Orange side and the concession area was SRO as well.

I have not seen that many people at Braves Field since the OHS - BW Overtime game which I think was in 08.

Game lost a lot of momentum in the 3rd quarter which took about 50 mins to play because it seemed like a player would go down with cramps on almost every play.

Kids on both sides played hard - In the end I think depth, or lack there of took its toll.

Congrats to the Braves - Orange get ready for next week - Liberty will not be any easier!! Go Pioneers!!

Sounds like it was a great game for the rubber match. The good news is, the teams starting meeting next year as members of the OCC Capital Division. That means league championships will start being at play. Good stuff!

Being an unbiased football fan reading these posts I am astounded by the continued banter. These are high school kids first and athletes second. They are continuing to learn the game and about sportsmanship. Not choosing sides but, sometimes things happen, tempers flare and the refs ultimately made the call. The game is over so now you need to be adults and lead by example--move on. You're the ones drawing it out. Stop dragging either kid thru the mud.

Nice summary Tangy Orange Man. If you are referring to the triple overtime game between OHS & BW, it was in 06. There were about 6500 fans at that game. That was a heck of a game!
