i am taking a leap of faith here. I have yet to encounter a St john fan on here. For that matter, I seem to be the only GCC fan on here. Its week 1. The games now count. I am not going to be the exclusive poster on this thread. Any thoughts or insights on this game? Anyone? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?

Well they have no lights on their field, so thats part of the reason. Just opened their own field last year, sits right along RT. 7. Seating only on one side.

River scrimmaged St.Johns a couple weeks ago. Low numbers, no players that really stood out. Coaches said visitors bleachers should be in place by first game.

i had a chance to watch some film. #80, their quarterback, is a good athlete. The kids play with a lot of heart. We have to wear them out and take over the game early, or they might just hang around.

Yup. He was their main recei er last year. He does a good job with the veer/midline.

they are running the wishbone, not very many if any passes will be attempted. Preview said they only have 16 kids out, the team photo shows 17.

Hopefully the game will play out where GCC can get some quality PT for their large freshman class. They have played inspired ball in the scrimmages, but how will they respond when it counts?

they have 40 kids in grades 5-8 playing on their 5 & 6 and middle school teams.

Haha heard the same thing from the Millersport coach about FCA. If the points fall, then so be it! I root for all Catholic/Christian schools in Central Ohio. I'm just saying it's nice to see some schools other than Watterson/Desales and others doing well!

Yeah, I agree. I heard about how the Millersport coach female dogged about how FCA put up 71 on them as well. Like FCA was trying their hardest to score on Millersport... give me a brake M'port coach.

Next week is FCA - FC. I'm excited and looking forward to it, as FCA is playing "host" at LHS for contract reasons.

Yeah...pretty low blow to a team that played no starters for the entire second half. I can't wait for the game this week. I wish I could make it, but I'll be camping for the weekend!

Our guys respect all of our opponents. Our second string qb ran silly through their defense so we put in a kid who has never taken a snap before. The Basic offense worked well and BSJ had no answer. What do you do?

Yeah, exactly. FCA beat BSJ by about the same margin last year. You can't tell the kids to stop playing hard...that would be poor coaching!

we love us some FCA. I can't wait to see Brewer v Welch. Both kids demonstrated that they were D1 caliber at OSU's summer camp.
