This is going to be a good game. Both teams will move the ball on the other s defense. Not sure what Cville did in this weeks scrimmage. Trace not near as bad as they looked against Amanda.

Trace looked pretty bad. No o-line... Think need to stick with the jr. qb and not rotate.

I honestly think the jv qb looked better than the other two but traces loses another on to circleville i think they might win three games this year . i would clean house as far as the coaching staff and start fresh for next year trace needs to get away from the teacher/coach bull crap and get a coach that doesnt care what grade ur in and let the 11 best play weather it be a freshman or a senior. i just dont understand the attendance numbers are down and if they dont shape up soon it will be like there basketball program .

Im saving your post 3boys. And in week ten if they are a 5-5 team you will have to eat crow lol. Seriously, the coaches coach and the players play. If the players have no drive or at least the physical ability to play hard every down, loosing is your destiny. It take more than your best eleven to win these days.

i agree there should be no two way starts if you have the players .todays game is that the best teams have one or two if any

i heard massie is almost total two platoon and put it on wilmington in the varisty scrimage 42-0 after 2 quarters and finished 55 -o after the two's. the freshmen also ran up and down the field. hopefully trace can get it figued out real quick or the season could be over before it gets started. it's hard to think that such a strong wrestling program can't translate into at least a competitive football team. but just look at Graham they stink at football.

Graham is not a good program to look at most of there wrestlers do not play football. They are recruited to wrestle and nothing else.
Look at the 2006/2007 season. Most of the Circleville players played both ways, and most of Traces players did as well so this one way playing is complete bull. Circleville ended up sharing the league title with Amanda and FU. Trace had all the talent to win their league but didnt do to injury.

don't know much about either team, but I've heard more than one person say Cville is very young and didn't look real good. From what I've heard about Trace scrimmages .....
I'm just going to say this is NOT going to be 34-0. I'm thinking these teams are closer than that, so it could either be 34-30 or 6-0....i'm just saying close.

Trace finished that season 5-5 and they lost to Massie 41-14. You think they had all the talent to win their league???? If they didn't rely on players going both ways they might not have been hurt so bad from injuries. In essence, every injury to a starting player took two starters off the field. That's one of the primary reasons to push for a two-platoon team.

I have heard coaching is an issue, but that is just on here and as well all know that can just be hearsay. I hope Trace gets a win week one, good luck panthers.

It has been a combination of things at MT. As is the case in most of these situations. Coaching is a problem. There has been a tendency by the coaches to always blame players. Lack of passion in the coaches, if you don't have passion for this game don't coach it. There has however been a lack of talent at MT over the last couple of years. How ever Players do have to show up and work and take on a personal responsibility to get themselves better. MT has many kids that are doing this now. (this has not always been the case and it has sometimes been the better kids) It still needs to increase. Now there is a culture of losing there and the kids drop their heads every time something bad happens. There are probably other factors I am sure, but these are the main ones.

i will eat crow thats fine what i was meaning about the best 11 was that it should be the best on both sides of the ball i honestly think its coaching u have alot of kids not playing when my son was a freshman they had like 30 or so kids and now the have less than 20 left if not less but alot of kids know we arent seniors so we arent going to play so why play

This wasn't a criticism of the kids. I love these kids. I refer back to my comment "a culture of losing" they have not been taught to battle through adversity, to play hard every play no matter what the score and good things will happen. I am one of the few people who think this team can be a good team this year. Some of these seniors this year should never see the field.

if Cville stays fired up then it will be a really good game with cville winning 14-7 close game
cville wins 14-7
I would hope the Circleville offense puts up more than 14 points. At least plan on one score a quarter.

This is a product of two very young and inexperienced teams. Dont see either team winning much this year.

You have to wonder what has happened to the Tigers in the last couple of years. After a great run from '02-'07 with 4 playoff appearances and a league title they look to be on track for another losing season.
