Harding did scrimmage Hayes. As you mentioned, both defenses looked tough. Both offenses were struggling. Each team returned a pick for a TD, Delaware had a long pass at the end of the half for a TD. Harding got a TD on a Hayes fumble deep in their own territory. Harding has a stud soph RB but apparently no FB to block for him. And Harding has good brats at the snack bar.

Brats can sometimes be the best thing about Friday nights

yes both D's played really well i love the new scheme the coach is playing this year which makes sense him being a former Defensive Coordinator :P As for the FB believe it or not our "fb" was actually our starting rb but for some reason they were playing him at fb so our "stud" rb is actually our split running back lol so thats a good sign :D

I have been fortunate to see all the Marysville scrimmages so I will give you a breakdown. Did a great job of running the football against Dublin Coffman, & against Hilliard Darby friday night winning that scrimmage 17-7. Big, athletic offensive line, with the tight end Runyan commiting to toledo a great receiver. They will pound you, then mix in the passing nicely. Big fullback #44 who run's & blocks well. # 6 Kody Davisson is thereal deal in backfield, impossible to get a clean shot on him. Great senior quarteback in Conner Devine.
Defense struggled a bit against Coffman, but only gave up 7 points. They really in my mind dominated Darby, Monarchs gave up two fumbles early in their own territory. This group is led by Dakota Romine at mike, a legitimate d1 prospect as well as Zak Larock at free safety another very good player. The coaches have done a nice job with this senior dominated team...... But well see friday night

I think Marysville will compete for the OCC Cardinal crown, and have a shot at a 5-8 seed. Personally, I am glad that the thing have stabilized, emotionally speaking, over there. Things were pretty ugly at the end of '09/ Either the people are buying in to what Gafford is selling or he is seeing things more their way (maybe a little of both). Either way, it would be nice to see M'ville make a trip back to the playoffs.
With all of that being said, I don't Harding stands in their way this week. They've pounded Harding 'Dead' Presidents 4 years in a row to open the season and I see no reason that changes this year.
