The Warriors ended the 2010 season at 6-4 and on a two-game win streak.

21 seniors graduated from the 2010 squad but only eight starters were among that group. Five on Offense including the starting quarterback Devonte Marable and only three from the defensive side of the ball.

The defense had two shutouts and gave up a little over 21 points a game. This season they should be alot better esecially since they return eight starters and including two of the three three lineman. Reno Reda(Def End)Sr 6-5-225,Cody Starowesky(Def End) Sr-6-3- 240.Jr,Jerrade Shough should step in as the starting nose guard. This group needs to play with a mean streak and lead by example.

In looking at the roster Jake Hopson, a Sr who was listed as the back up at Qb should be the leader to step into the starting slot.He is 6-0-175.

The backfield has Brenden Kemp, Jr-5-9-180 back along with Aaron Hix,Sr-6-0-150.Both were listed as starters so the ground game could be ready to roll especially since three lineman return.Sr-Left Guard,Austin Starowesky 6-1-220,Left Tackle,Sr-Cody Starowesky,6-3-240 and Right Tackle,Reno Reda Sr-6-5-225.

The Warriors started 3-0 and face the same non-league schedule again

Game One is Linden McKinley 0-10 last season then big rival and the best non-league game on the schedule,Licking Heights, who was 7-3 in 2010.
The final non-league contest is Mifflin, who was 5-5 last season.

Week four will be huge for the Warriors as they host Big Walnut to open the league. They could be 3-0 heading into that game again and if they could pull of the win week five has the Warrors heading to New Albany, who put a 27 point beat down on the Warriors. If the Warriors are 4-0 hrading into that game look for a war between the two schools.

I can see Watkins going anywhere from 8-2 to 10-0.

I think they will get revenge for lack of a better word againt Mt Vernon and Olentangy Orange both off who came into Pastaskala and left with wins. Orange hammered the Warriors by 25 and the Yellow Jackets escaped with a hard earned 7 point win.

I.M.O the key to the Warriors season is starting 3-0 and coming away from those games without any injuries.

I think Watkins will be competitive in the OCC Capital. I think they could compete, but I see them behind Orange, Big Walnut, and New Albany. Their program is improving though. However, I hear they will be leaving the OCC for a new Licking County League eventually.

I can see Watkins going anywhere from 8-2 to 10-0.

I think there are 3 other teams in the Capital, NA/BW/OO, all telling themselves the same thing. Could make for a fun season in the Capital if they are all that strong.
